🔨 Another custom project completed by Cody Wright Handyman Services! 🔨

This customer wanted to improve the functionality of their basement by creating a brand-new doorway into the laundry room. We cut in the new opening, framed it properly, and got it ready for a finished look.

They also wanted to close off the existing opening, so we built a custom door frame to fit the space and installed a new door, giving them a private, finished room where there wasn’t one before.

Every home is different, and sometimes standard sizes just don’t work. Custom framing and door installations are a great way to make your space more functional while maintaining a clean, professional finish.

Sorry I’ve been a little quiet on here lately — I’ve been tied up finishing a pretty major remodel project helping get this home cleaned up and lease-ready for the customer.

This project involved work throughout multiple areas of the house, including:• Wall reconstruction• Drywall repair and finishing• Closet remodel work• Bathroom remodel updates• Laundry room reconstruction• Stairwell transformation• General patching and prep work throughout the home

These before-and-after photos really show how much the space changed from start to finish.

The blacked-out areas in some of the photos are personal belongings the customer requested to keep private.

Projects like this take a lot of time and attention to detail, but seeing the final result makes it worth it. Appreciate the customer trusting me to help get the property ready for its next chapter.

Customer wanted their old hose bib replaced.

The original install was done wrong—mounted straight into the siding with no proper backing.

Installed a mounting block, replaced the hose bib, and sealed it properly. The mounting block also allowed the new frost-proof bib to be set at the correct ~5° downward angle for proper drainage and freeze protection.

Knocked out a couple service calls this weekend:

One customer wanted to upgrade their switches — simple change, but it really cleaned up the wall and gave it a more modern feel.

Another had lights going out… ended up being a bad ballast. Got it swapped and everything working like it should again 💡
