Boise Custom Windows & Doors

Boise Custom Windows is looking for an experienced window installer! 🎃

Our current crew works hard, never complains, and shows up early every day. Unfortunately, they're skeletons. They have no muscle, they keep dropping screws through their ribs, and nobody can hear the tape measure call-outs because they have no ears.

We need a human with real installation experience who can bring some muscle (and a pulse) to the team.

If you know how to install windows and doors the right way, we want to meet you. Bone-us included. 💀

👉 Apply now before we're down to a skeleton crew. Oh wait…

Are you ready to equip your home with beautiful new windows and doors? Fill out our short form to get started.

Nothing like a surprise interview to find out how camera-shy your crew really is 😂

We went around asking the Boise Custom Windows team one simple question: “How long have you been doing windows?”

Some answered confidently. Some tried to send us to the next guy. Some definitely looked like they wanted us to go away. 😅

But add it all up, and there’s about 40 years of window experience on this job site alone. 🪟💪

They may not love surprise interviews… but they definitely know windows.

We won this client over in fair competition - beating at least four other companies on both value and service.

After doing his due diligence and comparing multiple quotes, the homeowner chose us as the most reasonably priced and well-rounded full-service company.

Now we’re installing a full house of custom Pella 250 Series windows, replacing the originals in this 2003–2004 home with windows designed to perform for the next 20 years and beyond.

A great product, professionally installed, at a fair price. That’s how we earn the job.

When the old window and the new window don’t have the same depth, installation takes a little more work than simply removing one and putting the other in.

This is especially common when replacing older aluminum windows. The original frame may sit differently inside the wall than the new replacement window, which means the interior opening has to be adjusted to make everything fit properly.

That process is called an interior cutback.

During an interior cutback, we may need to carefully trim back some of the interior drywall or existing window trim so the new window can be positioned at the correct depth. The goal is to create a clean, properly sized opening without damaging more of the surrounding wall than necessary.

And because cutting drywall or old trim can create dust and debris, preparation matters just as much as the installation itself.

Before we start cutting, we cover the opening with plastic to help keep dust outside the home. We also protect the exterior work area with drop cloths so debris doesn't end up throughout your lawn, landscaping, rocks, or patio.

A good window installation isn't just about the window itself. It's about understanding how the new window interacts with the existing wall, adjusting the opening correctly, protecting the home during the process, and leaving the jobsite clean when we're finished.

If you have older aluminum windows and are wondering what would be involved in replacing them, Boise Custom Windows & Doors can take a look and walk you through the process.

One call. One team. A completely new front entrance.

A new entry door can involve much more than just removing one door and installing another.

For this project, we upgraded the opening from 6'8" to 8 feet, installed a custom knotty alder door, replaced the frame, updated the interior and exterior trim, and handled the finishing and painting.

That’s the advantage of working with Boise Custom Windows & Doors - we can take care of the entire project.

You choose the look. We help make it happen.

Contact us today and get a free estimate for your new entry door.

This isn’t your average front door!

This floor-to-ceiling pivot door is 6 feet wide and 10 feet tall. With the sidelight, the full opening measures approximately 8 by 10 feet.

An installation this large needs to be done right so it operates smoothly for years to come.

You can barely see Low-E coating - but your home can feel the difference. 🪟
Low-E glass uses a thin, nearly invisible coating that reflects heat while still allowing natural light through.

The idea dates back to the 1973 energy crisis, when Harvard chemist Roy Gordon explored ways to reduce energy loss through windows.

Today, Low-E glass helps keep more heat inside in winter and outside in summer, improving comfort and energy efficiency.
