What if my inconsistency isn’t the problem… but the evidence?
That’s the question I’ve been sitting with.
For a while now, I’ve been frustrated with myself because I know what I want to do. I make the plans. I write the lists. I create the schedules.
And then somehow…I still don’t always follow through.
So naturally, I kept trying to fix what I was doing.
But lately, I’ve been learning to pay closer attention to what I’m thinking.
Turns out there may be a whole lot happening between “I know what I want” and “Why am I not doing it?”
Comparison.
Expectations.
Old ways of motivating myself.
The stories I’ve repeated so often they started feeling like facts.
I don’t have this figured out. I’m literally working through it in real time.
But I figured if I’m going to do the work, I might as well pull up a chair, pour the tea, and invite y’all into the conversation too.
So welcome to LET THAT STEEP. ☕️
A space where I’m dissecting my thoughts, sitting with some uncomfortable truths, pouring out what I’m learning, and hopefully pouring something back into you along the way.
Today’s Pour: Confronting Inconsistency.
Now I’m curious about you:
When you struggle with consistency, what usually happens right before you stop?
Is it comparison? Overthinking? Getting overwhelmed? Perfectionism? Life simply LIFE-ing? Or something else?
Tell me in the comments. 👇🏾
Because maybe instead of only asking, “How do I become more consistent?”
we need to start asking…
“What keeps interrupting my consistency in the first place?”
Let that steep. ☕️
