For this holiday season, we wanted colors that felt warm and festive without the usual holiday palette.

Ochre reminds us of the last afternoon light, while plum brings to mind the warmth of candlelit evenings. Together, they feel just right for long dinners, a beautifully set table, and evenings that stretch a little longer than planned.

Which of these colors feels more like the holidays in your home?

There’s something so distinct about a home that is truly lived in and cared for. It’s rarely about strict design rules. More often, it’s about that natural harmony when the old meets the new, where familiar, heritage patterns feel completely refreshed in bold, rich colors, and quiet prints give heavier florals room to breathe. When a space holds both, it immediately feels grounded and real.

When we were putting these textiles together for fall, that feeling was the only benchmark. I wanted pieces that could slide into an already established room and feel like an effortless addition- rich enough for the season, but versatile enough to stay put all year round.

I’m honestly so grateful for the response this drop has received. Thank you for welcoming this collection into spaces that are so clearly loved 🩷

Ever noticed how two linens can feel different, simply because of their color? We’ve had a few questions about why some of our darker linens feel firmer than our lighter ones. Hear from our founder, Smita, as she explains why.

3 years of Banyan & Birch♥️

Building a business has been one of the most challenging, humbling, and rewarding things we’ve ever done. It’s taught us patience, resilience, and that it’s okay to not have everything figured out. Some things have gone better than we imagined, others haven’t gone to plan, and there’s been plenty of learning along the way.

But would we do it all over again? In a heartbeat.

Because this little business is so much more than selling home linens. It’s about bringing ideas to life, celebrating India’s incredible craftsmanship, and telling the stories of the people and traditions behind what we create.

What started as an idea has grown into something we couldn’t have built alone.

To everyone who has placed an order, stocked our products, shared our posts, sent a kind message, or cheered us on from the sidelines, thank you. Thank you for being part of our journey and for continuing to believe in us, even as we figure things out.

Three years in, we’re still learning, still growing, still making mistakes, and still dreaming big. And we’re so glad you’re here for it. 🫶🏼

When you have a print as rich and bold as Bella, especially in a deep winter w**e, styling it is all about contrast. We knew she had to come back this season, but we wanted to design a piece that balanced her weight. That’s how Vera came along. She has that easy, French vintage feel. Understated stripes, a central motif, and lots of calm space. Lush depth meets clean structure—the kind of quiet pairing that makes a corner feel collected over time.

A tablecloth has been our most requested piece for a long time, and honestly, we couldn’t stop dreaming about it either.

We wanted to design something that truly anchors the holiday table. Crafted from pure cotton, it arrives in two distinct colorways: an intimate w**e red and a cool blue and grey shade.

Take a look at how the design came together in the studio.

We have always believed that our homes should speak to the landscapes we inhabit.
As the air cools and the foliage deepens, we naturally find ourselves drawing closer to natural, honest materials. Our Fall Collection is an exploration of that natural dialogue. A tapestry of botanical patterns, textured cottons, and rich, grounded pigments like w**e red, fern, and ochre. Nestled here against the rugged stones, they belong just as much to the outdoor earth as they do to the indoor hearth.
Every pattern is a tribute to human hands and slow, intentional making. Built for quiet routines, shared stories, and the beauty of pausing.
The collection is now officially available. Explore the new drop at the link in our bio.

A little studio truth: green is our favorite neutral, especially when the light starts changing in September.
We wanted a color pairing for fall that felt rooted in the earth, so we set leafy fern green right beside a quiet dusty pink. One brings depth and vitality; the other adds a soft, gentle warmth.

Watching each motif come alive by hand on the print table reminded us that cozy doesn’t have to mean only oranges and browns.
Swipe to see the rhythm behind the block.

The best piece of advice I received when starting this brand was remarkably simple: “Stick to blues and greens.” They told me that if you want to capture the spirit of New England, you anchor yourself in the landscape—the coastal blues, the mossy pines, the weathered stone. That counsel became our creative compass.

While we never shy away from experimenting with rich, striking colors, these two remain the heartbeat of every collection.

Fun fact: the stone steps these pieces are resting on were built in the 12th century in New Delhi, India. Nearly nine hundred years of masonry meeting our seasonal palette.
