Had the pleasure of working on one of the oldest homes in Bay Head, NJ this morning. Such a beautiful property!

In 1882, Bay Head had approximately 20 newly constructed cottages.

Because 50 Harris Street dates to this period, it belongs to the first generation of houses built during the town’s development.

The National Register documentation specifically describes it as one of the first houses constructed in Bay Head.

That makes the house approximately 143–146 years old in 2026.

It's very important to us that our clients are 100% sure on what color they want! It is a relatively big investment to change the color of your house and we make sure you love it prior to painting! In this case it's vinyl siding and the client chose Sherwin Williams Tear Drop (swvs353).

When soft washing we use a cleaning solution that contains 1.5% by volume of Sodium Hypochlorite.

This is allows us to clean the siding fast and efficiently without having to use high pressure.

The SH kills any organic growth that may accumulate on the house over time, generally worst on the north side of the house.

High pressure can damage siding and drive water into places it shouldn't be (behind siding, into soffit vents, etc..).

Love how this came out! These 2 colors worked wonderfully together, and really gave this outdoor bar a classy look.

Bar Top: Emerald Satin Urethane (Timber Beam SW9540)

Every house we paint gets thoroughly cleaned prior to prepping surfaces & painting. We are looking for dirt/cobwebs, algae growth, & paint oxidation (chalky residue). Once sufficiently cleaned all the surfaces being painted will be inspected closely in order to identify failing paint, areas that need caulking, and holes requiring a filler. We strive to provide long lasting finishes that are easy to maintain.
