Less lawn. More character. A whole new welcome home. 🌿

Our Platz Project in Erie is getting a complete front yard transformation—and these before-and-progress photos are just the beginning!

We’re replacing the lawn with a ColoradoScape that brings together a brick planter, concrete steppers, fresh plantings, decorative rock and mulch. Low voltage landscape lighting will add a finishing touch after sunset, highlighting the new landscape and welcoming you home.

The benefits go beyond curb appeal. We estimate this conversion will save approximately 6,000–8,000 gallons of water per year once the plants are established, compared with the previous lawn. Actual savings will depend on weather and watering practices.

These progress photos capture the work just before the concrete pour. Next comes the color, texture and finishing details that will bring the design together. Stay tuned for the finished reveal!

Some backyards give you a reason to slow down. This Broomfield project is one of them.

The standout at our Cook project is this beautiful boulder fountain. Water cascading over the stone brings movement, texture, and that relaxing sound you want to enjoy from the patio.

Paired with low-voltage landscape lighting, the fountain becomes a focal point to enjoy after sunset, too. Lighting adds another layer to the landscape, highlighting details and creating a welcoming evening atmosphere.

Curved lawn edges, decorative rock, boulders, and new plantings bring everything together into a backyard that feels connected to the open space beyond.

Imagine ending your day here, listening to the water and watching the lights come on.

57 new plants. An estimated 12,000 gallons of water saved each year. And another chapter for a great customer in Erie.

We recently returned to the Holt project to convert the front lawn into ColoradoScape, replacing the sod with decorative rock, winding river rock accents, boulders, and 57 plants.

Fall photos don’t do the new plantings justice—just wait until spring when they start filling in and bringing this front yard to life!

We’ve also included photos of the backyard we completed a few years ago. The patios, firepit, turf, and established plantings show how a landscape comes together over time—and why we love getting invited back.

The customer recently shared this:
“We’ve had the luxury of working with them on our front and backyard projects and both have turned out phenomenal!”

Thank you for trusting Janet, Eric, and our crews with both sides of your home. Having customers come back means a lot to all of us.

Firestone, watch what’s coming.

These are the before photos of a major ColoradoScape transformation we have coming up this fall—and this project goes well beyond the front yard.

Out front, we’re removing the sod and creating a landscape with new plantings, accent boulders, and a modern concrete walkway.

In the backyard, planted berms and boulders will bring shape and character to the landscape, while new patios, a firepit, and artificial turf create space to gather, relax, and enjoy it.

One property. A whole new outdoor experience.

Follow along as our crews bring this one to life. These before photos are going to make the finished reveal that much better.

Less lawn. More Colorado. 🌿

Another Westminster ColoradoScape completed by FRSR! Swipe through the before and after photos to see this front yard’s transformation.

We replaced the struggling lawn with native shrubs and perennials, accent boulders, and a river rock border—giving this home a fresh look while saving the homeowner an estimated 12,000–15,000 gallons of water a year.

And this is just the beginning. We can’t wait to see it next year as the plants fill in and the flowers put on a show!

The house is new. Now the backyard feels like home. 🌿

Another new backyard completed by FRSR Landscape & Outdoor Living in Barefoot Lakes in Firestone!

Fresh sod gives this yard a wide-open green center, while trees, shrubs, perennials and ornamental grasses bring the edges to life. Rock borders and mulched planting beds keep everything neatly defined, with room for the plants to fill in.

A new concrete patio and steps connect the covered porch to the yard, adding space to pull up a chair and enjoy it. Large concrete steppers carry the design down the side of the house, giving that narrow space a purpose, too.

It all comes together in a backyard that fits the home and gives these homeowners room to settle in and make it theirs.

Proud of our crews and the work they put into this one.

A little more color before fall settles in. 💛

Dwarf Blue Rabbitbrush brings bright yellow flowers to a Front Range yard in late summer and fall. Its blue-gray foliage looks good even before the blooms arrive, and the flowers give pollinators a late-season food source.

This compact shrub grows about 2–3 feet tall and wide. It likes full sun and needs very little water once established, making it a useful choice for a ColoradoScape planting bed.

It’s one of the plants in our ColoradoScape Plant Guide: https://frsrllc.com/coloradoscape-plant-guide/

Another Erie backyard finished—and this one is going to save the homeowner some serious time and water.

We replaced the existing rock and removed the real grass, then installed FieldTurf ZL06 to create a clean, usable lawn that stays green without mowing, fertilizing or constant watering.

By replacing the natural grass, this homeowner should save more than 20,000 gallons of water every year while eliminating nearly all the maintenance that came with the old lawn.

A great-looking yard, far less maintenance and real water savings.
