Ask a kid what they want to be when they grow up and you'll probably hear something like…

Astronaut. Firefighter. Baseball player…Maybe a cowboy if they're cool.

I don't think too many kids say, "I want to run a tree service company."

And yet…here we are…having the time of my life.

I spend my days outside, working with my hands, meeting people in our community, and helping homeowners take care of their property.

Some jobs keep you behind a desk all day.

Mine lets me meet the people I'm helping and see the difference before I leave their house.

That's one of my favorite parts of the work I do.

Tree work is hard.

It's dangerous, dirty, heavy, and some days my back reminds me I'm not 22 anymore.

But it's good honest work.

And I feel blessed I get to do it for people right here in Brunswick.

So no…this probably wasn't the dream job I pictured as a kid.

But it turned out to be a pretty great one.

P.S. The kid version of me probably would've picked tree work sooner if he knew you got to play with chainsaws all day.

I don’t share stuff like this very often, but this one made my week.

One of our customers recently left a comment after we removed a 50-foot pine tree from her property.

They said we got it down fast, cleaned everything up, and that she’d give us a 10 out of 10.

That means a lot.

Tree work is hard work.

It’s hot, heavy, dangerous, and there’s a lot that can go wrong if you don’t know what you’re doing.

But comments like that make it worth it.

Because at the end of the day, that’s what we want every customer to feel.

That the job was done right.

That the yard was cleaned up.

And that they were glad they called us.
