Good Morning, Texas! It’s Monday, November 2nd, and the weather has prepared another statewide group project where nobody agreed on the assignment. The Panhandle may hear a few overnight thunderstorms before waking near 60 and warming into the low 70s, then cooling quickly after sunset like it suddenly remembered what month it is. West Texas starts in the mid 60s and reaches the low 70s under plenty of sunshine, while North Texas climbs from the upper 60s into the mid 80s because apparently November is now just October wearing a different name tag. East Texas will see clouds give way to some sunshine as temperatures rise into the low 80s. Central Texas and the Hill Country begin in the upper 60s and warm into the low 80s beneath stubborn clouds, with San Antonio reaching around 83. Houston and the Gulf Coast will hover near 70 this morning before reaching the mid 80s, serving up humidity with a light garnish of denial. South Texas and the Rio Grande Valley will climb from the mid 70s to around 90, because the Valley has once again requested an extension on summer. By evening, temperatures fall into the 50s across the Panhandle, the 60s out west, and the 70s across most of Central, East, and South Texas. So dress in layers, keep the air conditioner available, and remember that in Texas, “fall weather” is less of a season and more of an occasional guest appearance.
