Another day, another job site. Jase and Ryan heading out to make sure today’s build goes the way it should.

Every Prism roof has a project manager on site, start to finish. Not checking in once and leaving, and not running it over the phone. On the property, watching the details, answering your questions, and making sure the crew is installing your roof the right way.

It’s one of the biggest differences homeowners notice when they work with us. You always know who’s in charge of your job, and that person is right there.

What’s under your old shingles matters more than what goes on top.

On this install, our crew stripped the roof all the way down to the wood. Shingles, felt, all of it. Once the deck was bare, the problem was impossible to miss: rotted decking that would never hold a nail.

Put new shingles over that and your brand new roof is only as strong as the soft wood underneath. Nails can’t grip, and years from now someone doing a repair could step right through it. It’s a safety hazard and it doesn’t meet code.

That’s why every Prism roof starts with a complete tear-off and an inspection of all the decking. Anything that can’t give us a solid, nailable surface gets replaced before a single new shingle goes down. And with a project manager on site supervising every job, nothing gets covered up that shouldn’t be.

Nobody would have seen that decking once the new roof was on. We would have known.

Homeowner tip: before you sign with any roofer, ask if they’re tearing off down to the deck and inspecting it. The answer tells you a lot about how they work.

That’s Ryan, one of the partners at Prism, rolling a magnet across a homeowner’s driveway after tear-off.

When an old roof comes off, nails and small pieces of metal end up in places the eye can easily miss. Left behind, they find their way into a tire or under someone’s bare foot.

Our crew cleans every property before they leave. Then our project managers check it. Then one of us goes over it again. Ryan doesn’t need to be out here with a magnet, and he does it anyway, because how we leave your home matters as much to us as the roof we put on it.

Our goal on every job is to leave your property in better shape than we found it.

What goes on underneath the shingles decides how long a roof lasts in Fort Worth.

This home got a full roofing system, with every component chosen to work alongside the others instead of pieced together from whatever was cheapest. Our project manager stayed on site through the install, checking the details that disappear once the final layer goes down.

Most homeowners never see that part of the job. We film it so you can.

Hook ’em, horns down, or Go Dawgs? At Prism, it doesn’t change a thing.

Jase is a Longhorns guy through and through. Our homeowners? Not always. This round we had a Georgia fan on one roof and a proud Sooner on another, and after last Saturday at the Cotton Bowl, she made sure we heard about it. 😅

We love the banter. Every homeowner gets the same Prism roof no matter who they cheer for: a project manager on site supervising the work, a full roofing system designed to work together, and a team that does what it says it will do.

So who are you rooting for? Tell us in the comments. And if your roof is due for an upgrade, schedule a complimentary inspection at (682) 386-0353.

A roof replacement has a lot of moving parts, and most homeowners have never been through one. What stood out to John was that he never felt overwhelmed. His questions got answered quickly, and install day stayed organized from start to finish.

He also said something we hear a lot: he didn't know some of the upgrade options existed until we walked him through them. Part of our job is showing you what's available so you can choose what's right for your home.

There's a project manager on site for every Prism job, so you always have someone who knows exactly where things stand.

Most homeowners only replace a roof once or twice in their lives, so it's hard to know what to look for. These are the questions we'd want our own families asking.

Where do you refuse to cut corners? Ask specifically about ice and water barrier, flashing, and how they check the decking.
Can I see a copy of your liability insurance? Texas doesn't regulate roofing contractors at the state level, so it's up to you to verify. If a worker gets hurt on an uninsured job, the homeowner can end up responsible.
Are you local? If something comes up with your roof years from now, you want the company that installed it to still be around and still answering the phone.

Watch the full video to see why each one matters. Prism is based right here in DFW, and we're happy to answer every one of these questions.

Brad didn't start Prism to build the biggest roofing company in DFW. He started it to build one he'd trust with his own home.

At his previous company, he kept wanting to give customers better materials and more care than the job called for. That didn't always fit how things were done. So he built a company where it does.

Every Prism roof starts with a full tear-off down to the decking, so we can inspect what's underneath before anything new goes on. Rusted or damaged flashing gets replaced, not reused. And we install complete roofing systems, with components designed to work together.

Doing it this way means we probably won't hear from you again for a long time. Brad is completely fine with that. A roof that holds up is how trust gets built, and that trust is what sends your neighbors our way.

Finished just before the rain rolled in.

This 35-square roof in Mansfield wrapped up last week, right ahead of a wet weekend. The homeowners rode it out dry, under a brand new Class 4 impact-resistant roof.

Getting here took some work. When this family first met our team, they felt stuck and weren't sure what their next step should be. We slowed down, inspected every slope, and documented the roof's condition in detail so they had a clear picture of exactly where things stood. Then we built them a complete GAF roofing system, with every component designed to work together.

Here in North Texas, Class 4 impact-resistant shingles typically hold up 15 to 25 years. This family won't be thinking about their roof for a long time.

If your roof has you unsure, start with a clear answer. Schedule a complimentary inspection with Prism Roofing.

Pipe jacks and chimney flashing are two of the most common leak points on any home, and they're easy to overlook during a replacement.

On this install, we upgraded the pipe jacks to a premium pivot-style boot, with ice and water barrier sealed around each pe*******on. It's an upgrade, not a requirement, but it's one of the most reliable options out there.

The chimney flashing was rusted and deteriorated. Under the International Residential Code, flashing in that condition has to be replaced, not reused. So we reflashed the entire chimney and ran ice and water barrier up underneath it.

Details like these take extra time on install day. They're also what keeps water out of your attic years from now. A project manager is on site for every Prism job to make sure they get done right.

Not sure what's going on around your chimney or vents? Schedule a complimentary inspection through the link in our bio or call (682) 386-0353.
