Meet Jen DeFrancisco, the newest addition to the Chase Remodeling team!

Jen brings more than 20 years of experience across marketing, finance, and business operations, including a background in residential construction. She understands both how to grow a business and how to keep it running well.

Her marketing experience spans strategy, branding, website management, SEO, social media, email campaigns, and lead generation. She helps businesses reach new customers and build lasting relationships through clear, consistent communication.

She also brings extensive financial experience, overseeing financial operations, from bookkeeping and budgeting to reporting and cash flow management. She connects the numbers with day-to-day decisions, helping teams understand performance, stay organized, and plan for growth.

A Penn State marketing graduate, Jen combines creative thinking, financial insight, and a practical approach that supports Chase Remodeling’s continued growth. We’re glad to have her on the team.

🏘️ When you love your house, but the space is not enough anymore. What do you do?
You like the neighborhood, the neighbors, the schools, the commute you finally have dialed in. But there’s just no room left.

Before you decide whether to build or list it, four questions worth working through. We’ll help with all of them.

1️⃣ What would you lose by leaving?
Start here, because nothing else matters if the answer is “not much.” The school your kid is settled into. The yard you’ve spent years getting right. The rate you locked in. Write it down honestly. For plenty of families this is where the conversation ends and they stay, and that’s a good outcome.

2️⃣ Can your lot actually take it?
Setbacks, easements, septic field, grade, and what your county allows. A floor plan you love means nothing if the lot won’t permit it. This is the one you shouldn’t guess at. We’ll come out and tell you what’s buildable.

3️⃣ How long are you staying?
The shorter the horizon, the harder an addition is to justify. Out in three years and you’re building for the next owner. There for the next fifteen and you’re building for yourself. We’ll tell you which parts of a project hold value and which are purely for you. Both are fine, you should just know which is which.

4️⃣ What does it cost on both sides?
Not addition cost versus new house price. It’s the addition cost versus the gap between what your house sells for and what the house you’d actually want costs, plus commission, transfer and recordation taxes, moving, and the rate on a new mortgage. We’ll give you a real number for the addition side so you’re comparing something solid against something solid.

You don’t have to be ready to build to call. If we walk your house and the honest answer is stay put, we’ll say so.

This backyard went from a plain deck to a whole outdoor living space. ☀️

A screened porch with a custom cupola roof that brings daylight straight down through the ceiling, an expanded deck with new railings, and a paver patio with a fire pit tucked underneath. Three separate spaces that all work together, and now there's somewhere to sit no matter the weather or the time of day.

🛁 White oak vanity. Fluted tile. Matte black throughout.

This is the primary bath on the second floor of a house that didn't have a second floor.

We built the addition, framed it, ran the plumbing, tiled the shower, and set the vanity. Same crew start to finish, one project manager on the job the whole way.
