There’s something special about a recipe that brings back memories of cooking with your Mama. 🥰

One of my followers was searching for a recipe from the 1960s called Ice Box Cookies. She remembered making them with her mother, with layers of graham crackers, a delicious cooked coconut and pecan filling, and a thin butter icing.

She couldn’t find the recipe, so I went searching, too! We finally found one that matches the recipe she remembers. 🥰

❤️ Bacardi Rum Cake ❤️

There are some cakes that just taste like the holidays, and Bacardi Rum Cake is one of them for me. ❤️

My mom used to make this cake, and it always brings back memories of the holidays. She would pour that wonderful rum glaze right over the top, but I would hate watching so much of it run off the cake and puddle onto the plate!

So when I make mine, I pour the glaze into the Bundt pan and carefully put the cake back in so it can soak up all that goodness before turning it out. Every bite is moist and full of that delicious rum flavor!

I’ve often seen those little souvenir rum cakes for sale in the Caribbean islands for 💰!! They’re delicious, but I always wish they were bigger! 😂 This homemade version is surprisingly economical to make, roughly $10–$14.

Now that’s a holiday dessert worth sharing!

🥐 Sausage Crescent Roll Breakfast Casserole 🥘

I think I’ve finally found my favorite breakfast casserole! 🥐

I’ve been wanting to share a breakfast casserole recipe, but I couldn’t decide which one I liked best. There are so many good versions made with biscuits, bread, or even grits!

I tasted this one made with crescent rolls at a brunch this weekend, and I knew this was the one I wanted to share! ❤️

The crescent rolls make it so good. It’s perfect like it is, but you could easily make it your own. Add onions, mushrooms, bell peppers, or whatever you like. You can even swap the regular sausage for turkey sausage.

Now tell me, y’all… what’s your favorite kind of breakfast casserole?
