🌻 Monday Farm Tip 🐦

Don’t take those hummingbird feeders down just yet! ❤️
Here in Southwest Georgia, it’s best to keep at least one feeder up through the fall. Hummingbirds migrate because of the changing daylight not because we leave feeders out. Georgia DNR even recommends keeping a feeder available year-round because winter visitors can show up.

If you’re still seeing hummingbirds, keep feeding them! 🐦❤️

🍂🐿️ Friday Fall Farm Tip! 🐦🌻

Want to keep the squirrels from taking over your bird feeders? Try placing your feeder at least 10 feet away from trees, fences, and other launch points and about 5–6 feet off the ground.

You can also add a squirrel baffle. 🐿️ For those who don't know, a baffle is a cone- or dome-shaped piece that goes around the feeder pole or hangs above the feeder, making it difficult for squirrels to climb up and reach the birdseed.

Of course, squirrels are part of farm life too! ❤️ Give them a little feeder of their own, and maybe everyone can enjoy their breakfast in peace! 😂🐦🐿️
