Four schools. One bond measure. And a transformation almost 20 years in the making.
When voters in the Tucson Unified School District approved a bond back in 2023, it had been almost 40 years, since 1986, that an override passed. Among the improvements guaranteed through the bond, TUSD dedicated resources to upgrading athletic facilities at four high schools: Cholla, Pueblo, Sabino, and Sahuaro.
TUSD partnered with MMTH to deliver a comprehensive package of services to each of these four schools, including new fields, irrigation systems, design services, and team hype videos.
Each field features GAME ON® synthetic turf with a natural infill mix that retains moisture for up to 18 hours and runs up to 40 degrees cooler than traditional turf. A non-negotiable in the desert heat.
Each field is designed to celebrate the traditions and unique culture of each school. From iconic midfield artwork to lyrics from the school’s fight song on the sidelines, each school now has a field that reflects the pride and strength in its community.
And every team shot a hype video with MMTH to capture the energy of the athletes and honor the teams’ collective commitment to hard work, delivering game day energy that extends beyond the sidelines.
