As an added bonus, he also added foam insulation to the back of the attic access panels to help reduce heat transfer and improve energy efficiency.

While working at a client’s home, our Handyman PLUS was asked to take a look at the risers on their deck steps. The deck was a recent addition, but the risers were already coming loose.

The culprit? Small staples that simply weren't up to the task.

Our Handyman PLUS carries as much as he can to be prepared for situations just like this. Fortunately, he had screws on hand that matched those used on the decking. He properly secured the risers. Now we're confident they're not going anywhere!

The timing couldn't have been better, either. Our client was getting ready to list their home for sale, and loose boards on a newly built deck certainly aren't a good first impression.

It's the small details that make a big difference in quality craftsmanship.

Our client was ready to say goodbye to the gym mats they had been using to cover their old linoleum flooring and wanted something a little more permanent.

We were called in to install new plank flooring, but first, we had a few things to consider.

With a slight slope in the floor, an existing floor drain, and overhead water supply and drain lines, we discussed the options with our client and decided against using floor leveler.

Sometimes, the best solution isn't about making everything perfect. It's about understanding the space, its purpose, and making the right decisions for the project.

The new flooring turned out great, and what a difference it made!

Next up: Baseboards and quarter round to put the finishing touches on this transformation!

Sometimes, the standard solution just doesn't cut it!

This closet was doing some heavy lifting, storing a collection of heavy winter clothes, and the original closet rod was NOT up to the challenge.

So, our Handyman PLUS brought in the big guns!

He upgraded the setup with a heavy-duty galvanized steel pipe, matching flanges, and proper anchoring to give this closet the strength and support it needed.

The best part? Months later, everything is still holding strong with no issues!

That's what we call a WIN!
