Canyon's Edge Plants

Canyon's Edge Plants is a locally owned nursery selling the hardiest and prettiest water conserving plants. We also carry a nice selection for containers!

We specialize in perennial bedding plants that are well suited to our Panhandle growing conditions. CANYON'S EDGE PLANTS is located Downtown Canyon! Just off the Square behind Palace Coffee and across the street from Joe Taco! Enjoy the restaurants and shops within walking distance when you come to shop with us.

Specializing in Xeriscape Plants (Those that grow well in our area with water efficiency in mind), Texas Panhandle native plants, plants that attract butterflies, hummingbirds, bees and other plants that are just plain good. Many of our plants are deer resistant. We try to be as eco-friendly as we can and to show others how that can be done beautifully. We have six year old demonstration beds so you can see many of the plants growing and blooming through the course of the year. The plants are labeled so you can make a wishlist!

We love roses, we love them not. We love roses. We love them not…WE LOVE ROSES! With the number of petals in this bloom of Desmond Tutu it didn’t take long at all to decide.
Canyon’s Edge Plants will be closed tomorrow- Friday. And then open again Saturday from 10 to 5.
Several of these roses -Desmond Tutu, Savannah, The Fairy and Iceberg - are blooming now and are in our outside alley bed. Drive by anytime and enjoy the blooms!
We have those and more inside the shop. Stop by Saturday and if the gate is open next week stop in. - we are officially closed, but we are working inside off and on.
We will have these roses again next spring. If you need soil amendments to prep your beds now, stop in and get some!
We also have a nice selection of succulents available in our shack- way out back😁

Canyon’s Edge Plants will be closed tomorrow( Friday) OPEN SATURDAY then closed Sunday and Monday.

Stop by and smell the roses! And see what else is blooming. We still have a lot of color in our beds. WE ARE OPEN TODAY until 5.- but closed on Sunday. We will also be open Monday through Wednesday next week.
We still have a nice selection of perennials. It’s getting late in the year but at 50% off all of them, it would be worth taking a chance.

We still have our succulents outside on the benches ready for you to add to your indoor gardening.

Enjoy some time in the shops on the Square and around Canyon! We have some great food choices around here also😁

We will be here at the shop making cuttings for new plants for you for next year.

The nice thing about planting several varieties of roses in your gardens is that you can get very nice bouquets through the year. Come see us!
We still have a nice selection of Roses on the benches -maybe not all of them pictured but we do have several varieties ready for you. As far as I know, it should be a really good time of year to plant them. At 50% off, it would be worth a try.
We also have a nice selection of hardy perennials for you to try as well. It looks like some very nice gardening weather for the foreseeable forecast. There’s moisture in the ground- so the plants should settle in well through winter.

Our lights are up and we are ready for the Canyon Farmers Market MOON MARKET - Saturday from 5 to 9! Come join the fun!

Canyon’s Edge Plants will be having one last hurrah before we end our season. We will have a TREASURE HUNT through the garden beds. Come find labels with a prize token on it. - a flashlight might be helpful after dark😁
SUNDAY WILL BE OUR LAST DAY FOR THE SEASON-(unless we are working and the gate is open then come on in-we will be making cuttings for next years plants)

Need some fall color? Come check out our demo beds full of perennial plants that will come back bigger and better each year to give you that color all season long and then continue lighting it up in fall as well. Stop by and wander through our beds. There are a lot of plants that we just don’t have time to put in videos.-a lot of hidden treasures. We should have monarchs again today, come enjoy shopping with them.

Be careful spraying insecticides!!! We came into our shop this morning and found several monarchs dead or dying on the ground. ( we don’t spray). We have collected a dozen dead monarchs so far.
I don’t know it was an insecticide, but am assuming it was. Just in case- hold off spraying for mosquitos or other insects until the monarchs have passed through.
