A shaded deck can feel like a whole new outdoor room. ☀️

We recently installed this custom Sunpro retractable awning with a drop shade and integrated lighting. It gives the homeowners flexible shade during the day, extra coverage along the deck, and a comfortable place to relax after sunset.

We also replaced a failing PVC handrail with a Deckorators Contemporary black aluminum railing system. The high-end railing complements the awning’s finish while providing a clean, durable, modern look.

Gary’s Reliable Repairs is proud to offer Sunpro awnings and Deckorators railing systems as a dealer and installer. We can help you choose the right products for your home, then handle the design, ordering, and installation from start to finish.

Thinking about upgrading your deck or patio? We’re passionate about creating better outdoor spaces and ready to come take a look whenever you are. Message us to talk through your project and arrange a site visit. Serving Carlisle, Mechanicsburg, Camp Hill, Harrisburg, Hershey, and nearby Central PA communities.

A big shoutout to our installation team for their hard work and for helping bring this project together!

I’m looking for the right person to grow with me and Gary’s Reliable Repairs! 🔨

This is an entry-level opportunity with flexible hours, working alongside me on repairs, installations and everyday projects throughout Central PA.

Experience is welcome, but honesty, reliability and a willingness to learn matter most. I’m looking for someone who shows up, takes pride in their work and treats our customers and their homes with respect.

I’ve put a lot of heart into building this company, and I’d love to bring someone along who shares that same care. For the right person, this can grow into a larger, long-term role as we build skills and grow the business together.

Interested? Send me a message with a little about yourself, where you’re located and your availability.

This one is bigger than a project post.

Almost a year ago, a homeowner who had been supporting Gary’s Reliable Repairs online reached out and said something along the lines of, “We always have things around the house that need done. We’ll reach out eventually.”

At the time, it was just a message.

But that is how a lot of great relationships start — with someone watching from the outside, following along, seeing the work, seeing the consistency, and waiting until the time feels right.

Fast forward to now, and we have had the opportunity to earn their trust inside their home.
That trust has turned into completed projects, a 5-star review, repeat work already on the schedule, and even another neighbor in the same development trusting us with their home as well.

That means a lot to me.

As a one-owner company, every relationship matters. Every message, every review, every referral, every comment, every like, every cup of coffee, every lunch order, every kind word — it all matters.
This business is not just about repairs.

It is about being the person homeowners feel comfortable calling when they need help. It is about showing up, communicating, being honest, doing clean work, and treating every home with respect.
It is not always easy, but I am incredibly grateful that this business allows me to pour my heart, soul, and pride into something I genuinely love every single day.

To the customers who have welcomed me into your homes, supported the company, trusted the process, referred neighbors, left reviews, and continued to keep us in mind — thank you.

You are the reason I get to do what I love.
From the endless coffee, lunch, drink recommendations, referrals, repeat projects, kind conversations, and even a lawnmower gifted to me this year — I do not take any of it for granted.

Gary’s Reliable Repairs is built one relationship, one home, and one earned opportunity at a time.

Thank you for allowing me the chance to enhance your homeowner experience.

As we continue booking into September already, I just wanted to take a minute to genuinely thank this community, our repeat customers, referrals, and everyone who continues supporting Gary’s Reliable Repairs.

The amount of trust people place in us means more than you know. Being booked this far out is a direct reflection of the relationships we’ve built and the level of service we strive to provide every single day. Our goal has never been just to “complete a job” — it’s to earn lifelong customers every time we get the opportunity to turn a screwdriver.

This past week was another reminder of why I love what I do.

We recently completed a full measure, order, and install process for a luxury RV shade project in Destin — and wow. The level of luxury in this setup is something I’ve honestly never seen before. The custom dual roller shades completely transformed the interior and gave the RV an incredibly clean, modern finish. Seeing projects go from initial consultation all the way through final installation is one of the most rewarding parts of what we do.

Along with that project, we also completed:
✔️ Furniture assembly
✔️ 4 ceiling fan upgrades
✔️ Troubleshooting several pesky electrical switches
✔️ A storm door replacement and trim repairs
✔️ Scheduling a return visit soon for plumbing repairs

On the commercial side, one of our favorite office clients called because they had a pallet sitting out in the grass and needed a clean, safe setup for employees to enjoy lunches and breaks. We were able to prioritize it the same week, assemble everything quickly, and create a great outdoor area with a table and umbrella setup that the staff was genuinely excited about.

We also had the chance to stop by one of our favorite communities in Middletown. The pond views alone are incredible — but what really makes the place special is the people. Janet Glass, who helps manage the community, is truly the definition of excellence. She’s the type of person who will literally put your packages in her garage if you’re relocating from another state and can’t get there in time. That level of care is rare nowadays.

In this community alone, we’ve now mounted around 10 TVs and become the go-to handyman service for over 15 homeowners. Communities like this allow me to showcase not only craftsmanship and quality, but personality and passion too — and that means everything to me.

Being a business owner has been one of the hardest things I’ve ever done in my life. Arguably also one of the most rewarding.

So cheers to your local handyman — and thank you again for allowing us into your homes, offices, and communities. I truly can’t wait to meet many more of you and your families in the future.
