As you may know, Janna and I have a background in fine gardening and orchard keeping. This is a slower season for many gardening tasks, but the busy season for your fruit trees. The majority of fruit tree care happens in the next 3 months.

We have self polinating Kiwi's again! We have the boys and girls if you need them, but Issai kiwi skip over the whole drama, all you need is one plant.

It's time to plant trees! We have a selection of fruit trees and interesting ornamentals, and we have tree orders scheduled through the fall, let us know what you need and if we don't have it we'll order it for you!

It's October! I want to remind everyone that if you have tender succulents out, mid October is the time to make sure they're on a covered porch or inside near a bright window. Succulents can handle cold, the problem is sitting in water while ALSO cold. Most succulents come from places with wet hot summers and cold dry winters, so we just have to do our best to keep them dry!

I'll be bringing most of the succulents into the greenhouse for the winter at the end of this month, with the exception of our seriously winter hardy varieties, so this is the last chance until spring to get your hands on them!
