The Cedar Valley Habitat for Humanity ReStore in Cedar Rapids sells new and gently used building materials, carpets, flooring, cabinets and appliances at deep discounts. Income generated from the ReStore cycles back into Cedar Valley Habitat for Humanity to support local and global building efforts. All revenues from ReStore are kept in our community to fund our local Habitat for Humanity efforts, the building of homes and families, and the repair and maintenance of needy families homes. Our recipients assume financial responsibility for their homes, and contribute financially and through hard work to receive help from Habitat.

A house becomes a home one decision at a time.

The furniture you choose. The details you add. The pieces that make a space feel like it belongs to you.

At the Cedar Valley Habitat ReStore, you can furnish your home with character while keeping more money in your pocket. And every purchase helps local families build a place of their own.

That’s a pretty good reason to shop differently. 🏡

Who says a lampshade has to be a lampshade? 😉♻️

The Recycle Gala is proof that items you might find at the ReStore can become something completely unexpected with a little imagination and creativity!

These looks take reuse to a whole new level, showing how everyday materials can be reimagined instead of thrown away. That’s the spirit of the ReStore: seeing potential where others might see an old item.

Take a peek at the creativity from this year’s Gala—and next time you shop the ReStore, try looking at things a little differently. You never know what you might create! 💚

Meet Sean, our Volunteer Spotlight this month!

Sean first got to know the ReStore as a customer, using cupboards, bookshelves, and light fixtures in his own home remodeling projects. After retiring, he became a ReStore volunteer—and eventually found his way into a Family Support role with Habitat.

Today, Sean helps families navigate their Habitat journey and finds it incredibly rewarding to see them move into their new homes.

We’re proud that the ReStore can be the starting point for so many ways to get involved. Thank you, Sean, for all you do for Habitat families!

The best finds don't always come with a big price tag.
