Check out these rare seeds. This is Pteroceltis tatarinowii (blue sandalwood). They are very rare but should do well in Central Illinois. The leaves of this tree resemble hackberry, the bark resembles the color and texture of sycamore and the seeds are small and flat like an elm.
Note: these are just one species of a handful of rare species that I ordered

One of my top 5 favorite trees for fall color! Japanese Zelkova. There is some variation in color from year to year and it seems the later the turn, the darker red to burgundy they seem to be. Sometimes you get some brighter orange color in their fall leaves.

Within the next 2 weeks, my selling season will be coming to a close and I won’t be offering any more trees until spring. Thanks to everyone for a great season and we’ll see you in the spring! For now, if you have interest in anything, let me know!

Still have several hickories of different species.
Shagbark hickory
Bitternut hickory
Mockernut hickory
Black hickory
Nutmeg hickory.
All of them except the bitternut do produce an edible nut. These are great options for large open areas or timber, probably not the best for urban or residential lots. I have a range of sizes between $10 and $25

Check out these lacebark elms! I have 3 of these going for $25 each, and much younger ones going for $10. It’s a very resilient and Dutch Elm Disease resistant species. They are known for their cool red and white bark patterns and very small leaves. It can have some fall color, some yellows and even sometimes almost burgundy.

Kentucky coffee trees have become quite popular in the last 15 years or so. And they aren’t usually an optimal choice for fall color, but sometimes they will surprise. We have a handful left in stock running from $10 to $25. They are not the fastest grower but they are a great addition for any lawn or landscape

A great successful afternoon collecting seed! Got a great batch of yellow Buckeye, bottlebrush Buckeye, and Chinese fringe tree, as well as getting a few more persimmons
