Lighting sets the tone before anything else does.

It can look sculptural, modern, even a little unexpected, but it stays comforting, calm, and feels like home.

Paint colors we’re crushing on lately + the ones making their way into our projects.

Consider this your sign to look beyond white walls.

This one felt a little more personal.

My brother and sister-in-law came to me with a bathroom in their new home that had the potential to be beautiful, but before we could even think about finishes, we had to make sure it functioned for them first.

The original layout was a little funky, and there was no water closet. With the width of the room and the ceiling height, a traditional water closet just wasn’t going to work. So instead, we created a beautiful, oversized shower with a knee wall that doubles as a privacy wall for the toilet.

We shifted the sinks to make the new shower configuration work, then divided the vanity with a cabinet so they each have the feeling of their own sink, while still sharing storage.

And maybe my favorite part? We were able to leave the tub exactly where it was always meant to be, in front of that beautiful window overlooking their wooded backyard.

Sometimes the best layouts aren’t about getting everything you want. They’re about finding the right balance between how a space needs to function and how you want it to feel.

This bathroom was a FUN challenge.

Our clients wanted the tub to be the focal point of the room, especially because they use it often, but we still needed to find a place for storage.

So we added this arch, which ties into the architecture throughout the bathroom, and tucked hidden storage right into it. It’s easily accessible from the tub, but completely disappears when you’re looking at the room.

The result feels a little like a private cove. Quiet, tucked away, and (of course!) functional.

Luxury isn’t about spending more. It’s about noticing what everyone else walks past.

The arch behind the vanity. The trim color that changes an entire exterior. The one bold cabinet color that makes a kitchen feel finished. None of these are the “big” moments of a build, but they’re the ones that make a house feel like it was actually designed, not just decorated.

This is the part of our process people don’t always see: hundreds of small, intentional decisions that add up to a home that feels effortless. That’s the job.

This month’s mood (let’s be honest, this is us every month), is deep greens, warm woods, and textures you actually want to touch. September is all about layering moody tones with soft, lived-in comfort that just feels cozy!
