What starts as a collection of finishes becomes a space designed to feel effortless.

For this primary bath, we layered soft warm cabinetry, marble surfaces, polished metal finishes and a statement chandelier to create a palette that feels quiet and refined.

Then, those individual selections begin to tell the full story, custom cabinetry provides beautiful storage, the architectural arch defines the bathing area, and the freestanding tub becomes the natural focal point beneath the chandelier.

This is one of our favorite parts of the design process. Seeing the materials that begin on a design board come together as a space that feels completely at home.

When a room has dramatic ceiling height, we want the design to celebrate it.

In this bathroom, we used the vertical space as part of the experience, drawing the eye upward with sculptural lighting and a high window that brings natural light into the room. Below, dark cabinetry and doors ground the space, while crisp stone surfaces and warm brass finishes create contrast and keep the palette feeling polished.

The result is a bathroom that feels dramatic and elevated, with every detail working together from floor to ceiling.

There’s a warmth to a home that goes beyond the color palette. It comes from the materials, the textures, and the way those details are carried from one space to the next.

Here, the natural stone isn’t limited to the fireplace. Stone accents continue throughout the open living spaces, while the rich wood ceiling beams bring another layer of warmth overhead. Against the lighter finishes, those natural materials give this expansive space character while keeping the kitchen, dining, and living areas visually connected.

It’s a reminder that an open floor plan doesn’t have to feel cold or cavernous. Thoughtful repetition of materials can make even the largest spaces feel warm, comfortable, and inviting.

There’s something about fall that makes us want to lean into richer tones, warmer finishes and a little more drama.

For this fall mood board, we’re layering deep cabinetry, warm wood, dramatic lighting, natural stone, dimensional tile and touches of brass. Each element brings something different to the space, but together they create a palette that feels warm, collected and sophisticated without being tied to a season.

Because the best fall inspiration isn’t about decorating for fall. It’s about creating a home that makes you want to settle in and stay awhile.

A neutral kitchen doesn’t have to feel simple.

In this space, we layered off-white cabinetry, natural stone, and rich wood tones to create a kitchen that feels collected rather than one-note. The dark ceiling beams draw the eye through the room, while glass-front cabinetry, tailored millwork, and the herringbone backsplash bring subtle detail and texture.

At the center, an oversized island gives the family plenty of room to gather, prep, and settle in, proving that a restrained palette can still have plenty of personality.

This is the basement the grandkids will always want to come back to.

Designed with them in mind, this lower level creates a place where they can settle in, spread out, and feel completely at home. From comfortable spaces for hanging out together to a bunk room made for sleepovers and weekends with the whole crew, every detail gives them a space of their own while keeping everyone connected.

Because sometimes the most meaningful spaces in a home are the ones designed for the people you can’t wait to have over.

A primary bath should feel like more than a place to begin and end the day. It should feel considered from every angle.

Here, we balanced the openness of an expansive glass shower with custom cabinetry that brings warmth, storage, and architectural detail into the room. Mirrored cabinet fronts, warm brass accents, layered lighting, and soft stone finishes add a sense of refinement, while the generous shower and built-in bench create a space designed for everyday comfort.

It’s the combination we love most: beautiful details with a purpose, layered together to make daily routines feel a little more special.

From drawing to reality.

This is one of our favorite parts of the design process: seeing a detail that started on paper become part of the finished home.

For this primary bathroom, the arched niche was designed to turn an otherwise simple wall beside the tub into an architectural feature. Its shape creates a focal point, while the wood shelves add warmth and provide space for collected pieces without adding bulky cabinetry.

It’s the layering of details that really brings the feature to life. Integrated lighting beneath the shelves and a recessed light at the top of the arch were planned into the design from the beginning. The wallcovering at the back of the niche adds pattern, depth and another opportunity to make this small architectural moment feel special.

Good design happens in the details, and those details are much easier to get right when they’re considered before construction begins.

What do you think: would you add an architectural niche like this to your bathroom?

From design concept to finished space.

Before a space comes together, we’re looking at every material individually and as part of the bigger picture. Cabinet color, wall covering, stone, plumbing, lighting and hardware all need to relate to one another without feeling overly matched.

In this powder room, the soft blue-green cabinetry gives us a quieter foundation for the botanical wall covering to make a statement. Marble adds a classic element, while the warm brass and black accents introduce contrast and keep the softer palette from feeling too delicate.

This is where the design process matters. It’s not just about choosing beautiful things. It’s understanding how color, pattern, texture and finish will work together once they’re in the same room.

Which would you choose first for your own powder room: the statement wall covering or the cabinet color?
