This was not a build but a refresh. Since we moved into this house this space felt empty and cold. It did not feel inviting for being the first place a guest walks into. It now feels a little warmer and more inviting. It also feels less builder grade and more a home. Yes things in here might change but the paint and wallpaper will not. This foyer needed a refresh, I have been wanting to do this for years but was always to lazy so glad I did it now. I did a little paint of the closet door, put up some wallpaper, changed the table, bought a new lamp, oh and changed the base boards. Sometimes quick changes make a huge impact. Let me know what you think.

A little update on why I have not been on here. I plan to return to my shenanigans by Sept 2026…need to finish healing 💪 I had to have a 3rd surgery related to my breast cancer saga. But everything went well!!! So this past Friday 12/12/25 the drains, sutures and bandages came off woohoo. I of course looked at my breast before my Dr removed the sutures and the way to describe them “Frankenstein Boobs” now I saw why I was in so much pain this time. But let’s put all that behind because once he was done and asked if I wanted to take a look, all I could do was cry. One, I did not feel the pain near my collar bones that I was previously feeling when upright and he fixed the rippling to the best of his ability with what he has to work with. Remember those of us who have mastectomies no longer have breast tissue to help with the reconstruction, these surgeons are basically rebuilding this part of your body. I could not thank my surgeon enough because I truly felt more comfortable. I knew the pain I was feeling at that time was just the normal surgery pain. So here I am 4 days from Friday and feel a lot better still sore because hey I just had a huge surgery not even two weeks ago but feeling normal pain well soreness now. So thank you to everyone who has been beside me through all of this…my hubby, kids, parents and especially my amazing coworkers. You all gave me strength on days I needed it. I know I post pics of me smiling but do not be fooled there were many, many tears and will still be many, this takes time to get through.

This desk came out so much better than I envisioned. My son waited so long for this project and he said “it was worth the wait.” This was a good small project to start getting me back into the groove of building. I am slow and rusty but I am coming back to doing what I love.

This weekend I felt a little more energetic and organized my pantry. While this is just a temporary organization it sure did feel good to get it in order. Later I would like to take out the yucky wire shelves and replace them with would shelves plus add two more shelves for more storage. For now this works and it feels really good to have everything organized and see quickly what needs to be replenished. Also threw out a lot of past due items 🤪
