Capital has been a great brand to work with – with a warehouse located in Georgia, our orders placed Wednesday mornings typically ship on Friday, and deliver by Monday/Tuesday at the latest. Bulbs are not universal. They are no longer a one-bulb-fits-all. On one hand, it can get confusing and overwhelming. On the other hand, it offers more opportunity and preferences to create specific outcomes. Wouldn't your rather have the choice of the light, versus stuck with how it came in the box? We would. Lumens is important. If you don't understand the term, shopping for integrated/dedicated LED fixtures online may result in disappointment when your bathroom lighting isn't as bright as you anticipated.

The Ascot sconce for example, features as stylish design, but not an ample amount of light. We've seen it in person, and immediately thought (would not replace the overhead vanity unless other sources of light were present in the space).

Initial Lumens: 1630
Delivered Lumens: 746

Initial means what is pushing out of the fixture. Delivered is what you will get out of it. A very important difference in terminology when it comes to your spec sheets.

Here's a little lighting tip: Lumens are the measure of how much light you’re actually getting from the bulb itself. Meaning, the higher the lumen count, the brighter the light will be while a lower lumen count results in a dimmer, less harsh light.

If you turn the bulb on, how far out does it allow you to see?

When purchasing light bulbs or integrated LED fixtures, knowing the lumen count will give you an idea of how much light you can expect from those bulbs or fixtures.
