Most people don’t know we do this.

Everybody sees the truck and assumes we haul couches. We do. We also take down entire structures.

This family wanted to do it themselves, until we walked through what it would actually cost and how long it would really take.

$1,700 in dumpsters. $3,150 to rent the equipment. That’s $4,850 before anybody touches a single board, and they’d still be giving up two or more weekends swinging a hammer in their own backyard.

This is how every intro goes. Dancing, jokes, somebody forgetting the one line we just said out loud, and eventually something sticks.

No marketing agency. Just two guys, a phone, and a pile of brush that’s been waiting on us for 20 minutes.

The work is professional. The intros are not.

No roaches. Yet.

That “yet” is doing a lot of work. The flies had already found it, which means the clock was running.

Tenant moved out, left whatever didn’t fit in the car, and our property manager needed it empty. This is the bread and butter. We’ve done enough of these that there’s nothing left in a unit that can surprise us.

We only filmed the first room. After that we got moving and the camera never came back out. Stick around for the end.

Twenty-five years.

That’s how long Miss Amy and her husband Bob had been thinking about cleaning out that basement. Her words, not mine.

Early morning scrap metal job for a local auto shop out in Rhea County, which is outside our normal service area. We took it anyway, couldn’t fit it all in one trip, and went back days later to grab two more engines and finish what we started.

The customer wanted to keep the rotors. Respect.

Some weeks you get the clean before and after with the music and the perfect cut. This was not that week. But the work got done, the shop got cleared out, and we showed up twice to make sure of it.

Monday sets the tone. Even when the tone is “we’re figuring it out.”

You just watched what we do. But you have no idea who we are.

So let me introduce us.

My name’s Cameron and I own Junk It. I was born and raised in Chattanooga, I still live here, and every job you see in that video happened within a few miles of where I grew up. This isn’t a franchise that dropped a truck in your city. This is my hometown.

My partner is Gharett. He moved here from Utah before he even graduated high school to play professional soccer for the Chattanooga Red Wolves.

I dropped out of college and worked three jobs at once because I was determined to own a business. Neither one of us got here by taking the easy route, and it shows up in how we work.

Before this, I spent years learning how to take care of people. I waited tables. I managed the executive suites at the Chattanooga Red Wolves, back when Gharett was actually on the field.
