I’m Kim Reisner, a painter and photographer who combines both art forms into a unique style I call PhotoMirage. Is it a photo or a painting? Yes—it’s both.

My work blends photography with painting to create thought provoking images that make people ask, “Is it a photo or a painting?” I’m Kim Reisner, a painter and photographer with a passion for blending both art forms. My work merges photography with painting, creating a unique style I call PhotoMirage. Art has been a part of my life since childhood, leading me to study it at the University of Wyoming. Over the years, I explored different mediums, from oil painting to watercolor. My love for photography opened new creative doors, inspiring me to merge it with painting. This fusion allows me to tell deeper stories and bring images to life in a way that feels both real and surreal. With PhotoMirage, I’ve created a style that sparks curiosity and wonder.

One of the last slow weekends before November speeds everything up is here.

What's on the docket? My wish for you is no errands, no rush, just a fun, cozy, or spooky weekend, as you prefer.

You're looking at "Blush in the Garden" today, which is available in the online gallery.

I want to know what makes you pick something off the shelf and take it home forever. How about with art? Have you identified something that makes art resonate with you, or is it just a spark you can't explain?

Tell me your answer; I'll tell you mine.

"Purple Ruffled Iris" is today's feature.

Longer evenings are good for slowing down with something worth looking at. Might I suggest "Off The Beaten Path" as you take a beat?

Boise Doors

Boise Doors originated from my love of the wooden carvings you can find on doors throughout world. I have not been able to travel as much as my heart desires, so instead, I took a ride about with a friend who lives in Boise, Idaho. When I told her my dream of painting doors, she took me around to some great neighborhoods, with lots of unique doors.

The original comes framed with museum glass.

Quick fall reminder: clearing one shelf or one wall now makes the whole house easier to decorate once the holidays actually hit. What are you making room for this year?

Would "Pink Orchid" make a good holiday conversation piece?

A quick interior note for the season: don't forget warmer textiles this month, like wool throws, wood tones, deeper colors, and striking monochromes.

What's your favorite fall item to display, or decor tip you live by?

Would "Blush in the Garden" fit your style?

October is historically the season of change. What changed for you this year? As we reflect on some art together this morning, I'd like to know.

Epiphanies, moves, whatever it may be.

And if you're looking to change up your space, you could consider today's feature, "Fowl Play" or the other work in my online gallery.

Between apple picking and pulling out the flannel, fall is the first step towards nesting season. That makes how a home feels extra important.

There's still time to use code FALLEVENT26 for 25% off on "Battle Scars" and my available artwork during the Fall Collector Event.
