Partway through this remodel, our clients made the decision to expand the scope and combine Phase One and Phase Two into one project.

And it made sense.

With the home already opened up and our crews already on site, we had an opportunity to complete the work more efficiently instead of closing everything back up, only to disrupt the home again later.

The expanded project now includes a new entryway, remodeling the remaining half of the home, three bathrooms, two bedrooms, and completing the spray foam insulation while everything is accessible.

This is what good remodeling looks like.

Plans can evolve as a project progresses. Our job is to help homeowners understand their options, look at the entire project, and make decisions that create the best finished product and the best long-term value.

For these homeowners, completing more of the work now means one coordinated project, less disruption later, and a home that comes together the way they want it.

Skilled Carpenters, 2 openings, $20 to $30/hr depending on experience. Framing through finish. 5+ years and your own hand tools.

Both come with overtime, PTO, paid holidays, SIMPLE IRA with match, and a boot and clothing stipend. All jobs are local around Clear Lake and Mason City. Home every night, work year round.

Stairs are going in and the three seasons room is getting framed on the back.

Right now we are buttoning up the framing details that most people never see. Blocking, backing, and clean transitions where the new work meets the old. Trim carpenters and drywall crews either fight a wall or they fly through it, and that is decided during framing. Every hour spent here saves two later.

That is how a job finishes on time and on budget.

Interior walls are framed and you can finally walk the plan.

This is the best time to catch problems. Stand in every room. Check window heights against the sight lines you want. Confirm door swings, headers, and rough openings before insulation and drywall cover them. A framing change costs a few hours right now. The same change after drywall costs days and eats your margin. We walk every addition at this stage with the homeowner so nothing gets discovered late.

Exterior walls are up. Trusses are set. Roof sheathing is on.

This is the milestone that protects every dollar spent after it. Once you are dry, your schedule stops living and dying by the forecast and the interior trades can start stacking. Steel beams are carrying the new load over the original structure below, which keeps the main floor open and gives the homeowners the layout they asked for. Getting to this point fast is not luck, it is sequencing and a framing crew that shows up ready. Follow along as this one comes together.
