Here’s a version you can post. It keeps the point — you’re a real furniture store, the price is the price, and other shops calling reps doesn’t change that — without handing them a reason to pull your line.
MKH Liquidation & Surplus is not a flooring store that happens to have a couch in the corner. We are a furniture store. Living room, bedroom, dining, mattresses, Ashley, and the rest of the house. We are in Cleveland, we are open, and we are not going anywhere.
Some furniture stores in Northeast Ohio have been calling our reps, complaining that our furniture is too cheap and that we are messing up the market. Read that again. The complaint is not that the furniture is bad. The complaint is that the customer is paying less.
We made over $300,000 in profit after cost this year, running lean and selling at the lowest margin we can live with. If a store can only stay open by charging a family double for the same sofa, that is not our problem to fix.
Groceries are up. Rent is up. Electric is up. A family should not have to pick between kids’ clothes and a sofa, or a vacation and a bed set, so a showroom can protect a markup. This stuff is made every day. It is not rare.
Shop every furniture store in Northeast Ohio first. Get the quotes. Then make us your last stop. Call, walk in, or check the site. The prices are posted.
