Dendrochilum Magnum Orchid! This rare orchid is the largest of the Dendrochilum genus and produces long, cascading spikes of small, creamy-yellow flowers. It is highly prized by collectors for a powerful, unique scent that resembles sweet spices (like allspice) or freshly cut hay. Unlike sun orchids, Dendrochilum magnum prefers bright, indirect light, high humidity, and a growing medium that stays consistently moist like sphagnum moss. Did you know that having more than 1 hummingbird feeder will increase your chances of seeing these beauties?!

Have you ever made a layered bulb planter? Here’s what you’ll need!

1. A deep pot, at least 12-14 inches with good drainage
2. Potting mix, preferably with a good compost
3. Bulb-tone fertilizer
4. Your choice of bulbs with staggered bloom times

• Bottom layer (Late bloomers/Largest): Tulips, large daffodils, or alliums.
• Middle layer (Mid-season/Medium): Hyacinths or dwarf daffodils.
• Top layer (Early bloomers/Smallest): Crocuses, snowdrops, or grape hyacinths (muscari).

Add pansies to the top and set in a sunny spot! When spring time arrives so will the blooming bulbs! See you at the Seed 🌱
