Patriot Day is a time to honor the memory of the 2,977 lives lost on September 11, 2001, each one a person with a family, a story, and a future that was taken far too soon. It is also a time to recognize the extraordinary bravery of the first responders and individuals who answered the call that day without hesitation, many at the cost of their own lives. Their courage, sacrifice, and resilience continue to leave a lasting impact on our country and deserve to be remembered not just today but always.
As we mark the 25th anniversary of September 11th, I hope you will find a moment to reflect on and share your memories of that day with others, or maybe ask someone where they were. I'm sure they will remember. Moments like this remind us of how much strength can be found in compassion, resilience, and coming together to support one another
