This photo shows one small section of a cabinet face frame, before primer or paint.
The face frame wraps around a mitered corner that’s finished with a 3/16” roundover. All of the sharp edges are broken with a 1/8” roundover. There’s applied beaded molding and a finished end panel. The openings for the inset doors and drawer fronts are fitted for a reveal of ¹⁄₁₆″ or less all the way around.
Everything you see here has been sanded to 220 before the final finishing steps even begin.
Each of those details takes time to lay out, cut, fit, and finish. When they all come together, you might not notice any one of them. You just notice that the cabinet looks right.
That’s the work behind the price. This work isn’t done in a factory, or by a machine, human hands made it, and it shows.
