🌡️ Hotter Weather Returns This Week ☀️

After a brief break from the heat, summer temperatures are making a comeback. Highs will climb into the 90s as early as tomorrow, with heat and humidity continuing to build through the middle of the week.

While humidity levels are fairly comfortable today, that won't last long. Dew points are expected to climb back into the 70s by Wednesday, pushing heat index values close to 100°.

As temperatures rise:
💧 Stay hydrated by drinking plenty of water.
😎 Limit strenuous outdoor activities during the hottest part of the day.
🏠 Take frequent breaks in air-conditioned spaces.
👵 Check on older adults, young children, and neighbors who may be more vulnerable to the heat.
🐾 Don't forget your pets—they need plenty of water and shade, too.
🚗 Never leave children or pets unattended in a vehicle, even for a few minutes.

Bartholomew County Emergency Management will continue to monitor the forecast and provide updates if any Heat Advisories or other weather alerts are issued.

Stay cool, stay safe, and stay weather aware! 🌞
