Dahlia tuber digging, dividing and storing is in full swing. This is today’s divisions. I’m trying to pace myself and do just a handful of plants each day because it is a lot of work. I find myself blown away by how many tubers some plants can produce in a season and incredibly underwhelmed by others. I have learned soooo much this season and after several years of growing dahlia, dividing feels fairly easy and natural. I’m excited to scale and be able to do more events next summer and fall!!!

Tonight might be the first frost of the season 🥶. Today was a long day of cutting down dahlia plants. I have under 10 still standing because I just can’t let them all go yet. Hoping maybe they will make it through the night and I’ll get a few more gorgeous blooms out of them. Pictured here is Yvonne. It is an exquisite dahlia and also the name of my best friend, so she’s extra special to me. 🥹💐

📢 This is the last call of the season for the flower stand. 💐 After this we will be closed until spring. Dahlia are $3 each or 7 for $20. Everything else (zinnia, snapdragons, cosmos) is $1 a stem or 12 stems for $10. Address is 6625 Trail Lane in Corcoran. It has been a wonderful season and my heart is so full from all the folks that have made the journey out here to our flower stand. We can’t wait to see everyone in spring! 💐🥰

This is one of my last bouquets of the season. 🥹💐I’m grateful to be at peace with where things are at and I’m ready to put the gardens to bed. As soon as the first frost hits I will chop down the dahlias and prepare for digging and dividing. Until then, I’ll likely have some stems available. The flower stand will have stems again on Wednesday but feel free to message me this week about dahlias as we are wrapping things up!
