Making strides with as much of this beautiful stretch of westher as I can! Couldn’t ask for better working conditions 🤎🌞🩵

90% of the garden has been removed and we’ve said our sad goodbye!

Spend 6 hours digging over 100 dahlias, with more to go and starting to prep them for Winter storage 😴 As I was digging them it felt like only yesterday that I was prepping them for planting, time flies! I even unearthed lots more ranunculus in the process that started to regenerate growth🌱

We are hustling the steal everyone’s leaves around the neighborhood, thank you and you’re welcome🍂🍂🍂🍂stockpiling and mulching them as we go🔄

Hauled 2000 pounds of compost to the property in preparation for lovingly topping off the beds 🤎

🌷Bulb orders are arriving daily awaiting planting, as well as some new peonies that I’ll be replacing a few old non-productive plants with. We plan to divide one of my big Sarah Burnharts as well🌸

It essentially feels like we are in a race against time, because you never really know how long or short you have before working conditions get really not fun🥶
Not to mention this girl needs a little bday vaca🌄

All in all Im super thankful for Soo much sunshine and one of the most beautiful Falls I can remember. I’m rewarding my hard work little by little as I fill vases of Dahlias from the cooler to enjoy💐This is the season I miss having my little helper around the garden🐕 she hung out with me the day I prepped these dahlias for planting, hard to believe today marks 5 months since she’s been gone. She lives on in my heart and in the Soulrise garden 🫶

Hooray for dried flowers! The fresh may be behind us, but all the while I’ve been harvesting and drying lots of flowers as components to make everlasting bouquets! Tomorrow I will feature the first batch of the year, and will be making them gradually throughout the next few months. Be the first to scoop up a bunch to enjoy all Fall long….and forever 😆 Additionally I’ll be taking Pre-orders for Paperwhite Jars, an indoor, fragrant flowering experience customized for you to enjoy! I’ll also have a variety of glass globe ornaments, Lavender sachets, and dried flower hearts to decorate your home. Hope to see you Corning's Gaffer District tomorrow Thursday 10-2! This is the second to last Market of the year 💐🤗🍂

Well that’s a “wrap” for freshies this season!! Here lies the last bouquet of the year💐a special request that rolled in just moments after selling the last bouquet at the market yesterday. I came home to lots more blooms that wanted a loving home. As for today I embraced the finale by cutting every potentially viable bud with plans to spoil us in our home over the next few weeks! Not all are pretty or perfect, but it still feels good to fill every room with flowers to celebrate another great year!

Not everything went as planned but I’m grateful for what nature brought us! I really felt the excitement for locally grown seasonal flowers this year more then ever and it gives me hope and fuels my love for growing for you even more ❤️‍🔥 THANK YOU for all the support and showing up for me every week, the special orders, and the recommendations to new flower friends and followers🫶

Supporting local flowers not only helps my business grow, but it’s a healthier choice for you, your home and your family. Each bouquet grown close to home lessens the carbon footprint on our environment. You are supporting a local business and stimulating your local community. Not to mention the impact of the energy and vibes that you create by attending the market, sharing the joy of flowers with others, helping to keep the heart of Corning beating 💓

Ahead of me there’s lots of work to be done with Fall prep: clearing beds and mulching, digging and storing dahlia tubers, and getting bulbs planted. I will also be gradually shifting into working with dried flowers again…stay tuned for updates!

So you’re just gonna have to take my word for it, that these are beautiful flowers that I’ll be bringing to the Corning's Gaffer District Corning Farmers Market 🤣 Unfortunately when I dropped my phone the other day I must have busted the focus ability in my phone camera 😢 Super bummer, hoping no other issues will come of it anytime soon (just incase use venmo or cash to pay). I hope you will visit and snag one of these “most likely” last bouquets of the season! Sorry for the false statement last week, I was pretty sure they’d get toasted in a frost, but we lucked out 🎉 A bouquet of Dahlias and Zinnias and other superstar flowers, will look beautiful with your Fall decor and pumpkin display this holiday weekend 🍃🌺🎃🌸🌿
Come support your local flower farmer so she can buy a new phone 🫶 it’s going to be a sunny and colorful day at the Market! Thursday 10-2 ☀️
