Looking for a little fall and winter 'pick-me-up'? How about an evergreen perennial that could start blooming now and into November and hold its blooms throughout the winter? Hellebore is the answer. We have just received a load of them from Monrovia Nursery in four colors, and some are budded and beginning to bloom. Plant now for winter enjoyment!

The best time to plant a tree would have been 25 years ago. But if you didn't then, or since, today would be the next best time. We just got in a nice load of trees including 24 budget friendly Maples. Also now available are Weeping Willows, the fall colorful Wildfire Black Gum, Oaks as well as a fresh load of Hydrangeas among other shrubs.

The 'Let's Make it a Date' sale is still going on. Whatever the date is when you make your purchase, that is the discount for that day. In-stock regularly priced plants only. It's going well, so don't let the customer just before you get what you wanted!

It's the 'LET'S MAKE IT A DATE!' sale. Beginning tomorrow, Tuesday, September 8 we are starting a Dutch Auction type sale. Whatever the date is, every day, that is the sale discount on most of our plants! For example, on the 8th, the discount is 8%, on the 9th the discount is 9%, and so on, all the way to the 30th when the discount will be 30%.

FALL COLOR IS HERE! Mums, marigolds, fall planters, all here! Beautiful 8" potted mums, giant mums in 12" planters, fall planters, and fantastic marigolds. Flowering cabbage, kale and other FLORIFEROUS FALL FUN coming Tuesday after Labor Day. Closed Sunday and Labor Day. Open again on Sundays starting September 13. Current hours are weekdays 8-5:30, and Saturdays 8-4.

The boss is back from Oregon! I had a great time for 5 days discovering new, colorful and exciting things coming to ProGreen next year, or maybe even yet this fall. The tours of this 2+ square mile nursery were unbelievable. Even though it was my second time there, I was still fascinated by the millions of perennials, trees and shrubs. I had the opportunity to meet with and talk to plant breeders from around the world, hear numerous speakers from all over, and Monrovia Nursery treated everyone like royalty with meals, drinks and gifts. It was also nice to be able to spend a little time with my former assistant manager at ProGreen, Steve Cloncs who is now a sales representative at Monrovia. And a special thanks to Sarah and Keifer for handling things in a stellar manner while I was gone. I took over 300 pictures, but only posting a few here. I will be showing you more of the great things on the way this fall and next spring soon.

THE 'BOSS IS AWAY' sale. The boss will be in Oregon this week, and has left instructions for selling all remaining bagged mulches at 4 bags for $10. We just took in a load of perennials bursting with color for fall. Probably our last load of the year, so now is the time to color up that garden and landscape. Selections include echinacea, salvia, agastache (becoming one of my favorites) and more.

We have also received 8 of the highly popular FLAME THROWER REDBUDS, which have been hard to get this summer. These will go quickly, so get yours before the customer just before you does!

THE NATIVES ARE HERE! And ready! A couple of weeks ago we received a shipment of over 1000 fresh native perennials. They have been up potted and 90% are ready for sale. There are presently 38 varieties and more on the way. We are still in the sign making process, but these are ready to go to your gardens.

In addition, we now have collections of natives available. There's a pollinator, a deer resistant, shade, and a hummingbird collection available. Each consists of 8 different plants and are available in full trays for a discounted price from that if purchased separately.

Also, we are now a member of the Indiana Native Plant Society and are looking forward to working with them to promote native planting.
