🚨 BREAKING NEWS FROM TL DECKS! 🚨

Apparently, today is National Slap a Co-Worker Day, and well... we couldn't just let a holiday like that go by without a little team participation! 😂👏

Let's just say some of us have been waiting for this day ALL YEAR. Others may have suddenly remembered they had somewhere else to be. 🤣

We work hard, we build some pretty incredible decks, and we definitely know how to have a little fun along the way!

After all, what's a workday without a few laughs and some questionable team-building activities? 😂

Now be honest... who at YOUR workplace would be the first to volunteer for this holiday? 👀🤣

⚠️ OFFICIAL TL DECKS DISCLAIMER: No co-workers were harmed in the making of these photos. All slaps were staged, all egos remain mostly intact, and HR has decided to take the rest of the day off. 😂

From an Empty Space to THIS! 😍🔨

There’s something pretty special about looking back at where a project started and seeing just how far it’s come!

Our Hawthorn Woods project is officially complete, and we couldn't be happier with how it turned out!

We thought it would be fun to take you along for the journey with these four photos. 📸

🏡 Photo 1: A blank canvas, just waiting for a little TL Decks magic!

🔩 Photo 2: The bones of the project! Fortress Steel Framing going in and giving this deck a strong foundation built to last.

🛠️ Photo 3: Deck boards are down, and things are really starting to take shape! No railings yet, but you can already see the vision coming together.

❤️ Photo 4: The finished product! All the details in place, and a beautiful new outdoor space ready to be enjoyed for years to come.

Projects like this are why we love what we do. Watching something go from an idea to a finished space that our clients can enjoy is incredibly rewarding.

A big thank you to Fortress Building Products and Deckorators for providing the quality materials that helped bring this project to life. And, of course, a huge shoutout to our TL Decks crew for the hard work and craftsmanship that went into every step!

Now we have to ask... are you a fan of seeing the behind-the-scenes building process, or do you love the big final reveal? 👀

🔨 DID MONDAY HAVE YOU QUESTIONING YOUR LIFE CHOICES? 😂

Did you walk into work yesterday, look around, and think...

"Yep. I think it's time for a change." 🤦‍♂️

Maybe you're tired of the same old nonsense. Maybe you're ready to work somewhere that actually appreciates your skills. Or maybe Monday was just the final nail in the coffin. (See what we did there? 🔨😂)

Well, consider this your sign!

🚨 TL DECKS IS HIRING EXPERIENCED CARPENTERS! 🚨

We're looking for skilled carpenters who take pride in their craftsmanship, show up ready to work, and want to be part of a team that cares about doing things RIGHT.

🔨 What's Happening in Lake in the Hills? 🔨

A little rain wasn't going to stop us from making progress on this beauty! 🌧️

Our crew got the Deckorators decking installed just before the rain rolled in, and this project is already looking fantastic!

Built on Fortress Evolution Steel Framing, this deck combines strength, durability, and low-maintenance materials for an outdoor space that's made to last.

👀 What's coming next? Cable railing! And trust us, that's going to be the finishing touch that really makes this deck stand out!

We can't wait to show you how this one comes together. Stay tuned, because Lake in the Hills is getting one beautiful new outdoor space!

🔨 BIG THINGS START WITH LITTLE BUILDERS! 💙

Yesterday, we had a very special visitor on one of our TL Decks job sites!

Alex's 6-year-old son, Eli, spent some time with the crew, watching, learning, and getting a firsthand look at what Dad and the TL Decks team do every day!

He may be little now, but he's already getting a head start on the family business. Who knows? Someday he might be the one running the show! (Watch out, Alex! 😂)

At TL Decks, we're not just building decks. We're building something that we hope will last for generations.

The future of TL Decks is looking pretty bright, and right now, it's only 6 years old! 💙🔨

Hawthorn Woods Project Update 🔨
This Hawthorn Woods project has officially reached that point where you stand back and say, “Okay…now THAT looks good.”
This deck was built with Fortress Evolution steel framing underneath and beautiful TimberTech decking on top—giving our client a combination of strength, durability, longevity, low maintenance, and great looks.
Now that the railings are installed, the entire space has really come together and you can finally see the finished vision.
But we couldn’t stop there. 😉
As a little added bonus for our client, our team built a custom outdoor table using the same materials as the deck, so it looks like it was always meant to be part of the space.
It’s those extra details—and a crew that takes pride in what they build—that make a project feel a little more special.
We can’t wait to show you the finished Hawthorn Woods project!

So… what actually makes TL Decks different?

There are plenty of companies that can build a deck. We know that.

What we believe sets TL Decks apart is everything that happens before, during, and after the build.

🔨 We don’t believe in one-size-fits-all.
Every backyard, every home, and every homeowner is different. We take the time to design a space around how you actually want to use it.

🪵 We give you choices.
Composite decking is only the beginning. Wood, steel, composite and aluminum framing, different railing systems, lighting, screen rooms—we’ll walk you through the options and explain the pros and cons instead of simply telling you what to buy.

📋 We handle the not-so-fun stuff.
Permits, HOA requirements, planning, selections and all those little details that can quickly become overwhelming? That’s part of our process.

👷 Our team cares about the details.
What’s underneath your deck matters just as much as what you see on top. Proper framing, solid construction and craftsmanship aren't places we believe in cutting corners.

🤝 You’re working with a local company.
We live here. We work here. Our name is attached to every project we build, and that means something to us.

And maybe the biggest difference?

We’re not just trying to sell you a deck. We’re trying to build the right deck for your home, your budget and the way you want to live outside.

That’s TL Decks.
