🔥🔥Project Update 🔥🔥

This is a project that I'm proud to be a part of. It wasn't big, or fancy, or really difficult. It's because we were able to be of service during a difficult time for this family. A recent storm caused flood damage throughout the home. Drew's fast response and cleanup got us in quickly. I was able to use two products that helped me keep this project moving. Muddskip- a mud additive that let's you put wet on wet mud, and FibaFuse - a fiberglass tape(NOT mesh) that is thinner than paper tape and leaves less of a reveal. I used Plus3 mud with these products.

But for now... we are enjoying some shakshouka. 😋 😆 I discovered this dish on the internets and now it's a favorite of ours. Eggs poached in a tomato based sauce with yummy vegetables.

Educational video of the day:

This is how I backfilled the new sheetrock to the old sheetrock. The beveled edge is butted up against the old sheetrock and I cut back the old sheetrock on a 45 degree angle. I push mud in twice a filled the beveled, this help the strength of the new joint and help ensure a flat surface to tape on.

I used 20 min hot mud for the back fill. Hot mud should always be used for back filled.
