Since campus life doesn't stop, we built around it.

At University of Colorado Boulder's University Memorial Center, we completed a major renovation while 90% of the building remained occupied, keeping this important campus hub open and serving students.

Completed for the fall semester, the UMC has welcomed the Buffs back with a safer, healthier environment.

We’re proud to rank No. 15 on Great Place To Work’s 2026 Best Workplaces in Construction list for small and medium companies nationwide.

This recognition matters because it's based on what our people say about their experience at Beck. Everyone here helps shape our workplace culture.

Thank you to our Becksperts for the talent, trust, and commitment you bring to the firm, our clients, and our communities.

Congratulations to Saint Michael And All Angels Episcopal Church on the opening of its worship, learning, and gathering spaces.

Beck team members were honored to celebrate this meaningful milestone alongside the congregation and church leadership.

We led the design and construction of the $60 million expansion and renovation, including updates to the sanctuary and Saint Michael Episcopal School classrooms, plus a new atrium, parish hall, indoor play spaces, café, gardens, and green spaces.

We are proud to help create welcoming spaces for worship, learning, connection, and community for years to come.

There’s a phoenix at our Dallas office with quite a story behind it.

At 3:26 a.m. on December 19, 1964 — six days before Christmas — a fire broke out at the Neiman Marcus flagship in downtown Dallas.

While the building was still burning, Stanley Marcus called Henry C. Beck Jr. The firm was already building Neiman Marcus’ new NorthPark store, so the team moved quickly.

Within 30 minutes, Beck was on site. By noon, they were raising scaffolding. By 5 p.m., a seven-story hoist was in place to begin removing debris.

Just 27 days later, the first three floors reopened.

Nearly a year after the fire, Neiman Marcus presented Henry C. Beck with a Steuben glass phoenix. The inscription reads:
“Through the tireless efforts of Henry C. Beck Company, our Phoenix has risen with great speed and unmatched beauty.”

That phoenix still sits in our Dallas office today.

As Neiman Marcus closes its downtown store today, we’re looking back at an extraordinary chapter in Dallas history, and one we’re honored to share.

We’re proud to announce that La Plaza Viva received a Merit Award in the Professional Category of the 2026 Architecture at Zero competition, hosted by AIA California, the highest honor awarded in the professional division this year.

Designed as a resilient civic hub and cultural center, La Plaza Viva supports everyday connection through festivals, learning, performances, and gathering spaces while also serving as an emergency refuge during natural disasters. Its adaptable, low-carbon approach incorporates mass timber, rammed earth, reclaimed materials, on-site renewable energy, and water-conscious landscape strategies to help sustain community life in both ordinary and critical moments.

Congratulations to the collaborative team behind this recognition: Yiwei Huang and Saba Abdolshahi from the Perkins&Will Dallas office, Yuwei Shen and Yuhe Xiao from the TBG Partners Houston office.

The Crow Museum of Asian Art at The University of Texas at Dallas is coming to Smithsonian Channel’s "How Did They Build That?"

Tune in Monday, September 28, at 8 p.m. ET / 7 p.m. CT to see Kristin Blackmar of Beck featured in the season five premiere.

The episode takes viewers behind the scenes of the museum, which Beck built with Morphosis Architects, exploring the design, engineering, fabrication, and construction that brought the project to life.

From sloping concrete V-columns to dramatic cantilevers, the project reflects the power of collaboration in creating an exceptional cultural space.

At the Beck Foundation's 14th Annual Fossils & Fairways Golf Tournament in Golden, Colorado, last week, we reached an incredible milestone: more than $1 million raised for charity over the last 14 years.

What started as a way to bring our clients, partners, and friends together has grown into something much bigger. Every dollar raised through Fossils & Fairways goes back into our communities, supporting charitable organizations through the Beck Foundation.

We couldn’t have reached this milestone without the generosity of our sponsors, partners, clients, volunteers, and Beck team members who show up year after year.
