Beebrush, Aloysia gratissima, is a North Central, South, and West Texas native! This multi-stemmed shrub has been requested countless times over the years, and for good reason! Its honey-scented, white blooms attract a bounty of bees, butterflies, and birds. Many compare it to a native Sweet Almond Bush. It grows 5-10’ H x 5-10’ W, prefers full sun, and does well in various soil types. Pick up one of your own this week!

Apache Plume is a Central and West Texas native shrub that blooms simple, white flowers during spring and summer. Blooms follow with development of its pink, silky seedheads, which are thought to resemble the Apache headdress. These plants grow in full to partial sun and various soil types. They grow 3-6’ H x 3-6‘ W and can slowly spread by rhizomes and seeds. Plant this native beauty as a specimen, for hedging, or erosion control. The bees, butterflies, and songbirds will thank you!
