A 12 year old spent his entire summer mowing lawns to help his family pay bills — and the specific choice Jayden Jackson made with his time between fifth and sixth grade says something about who he is that most adults would not be able to say about themselves at any age.He is 12 years old, from Columbus, Georgia, and he had the same summer break that every other kid his age had — weeks of unstructured time with no mandatory obligations and every social and cultural permission to spend those weeks doing nothing more demanding than existing. He chose to push a lawnmower door-to-door through his neighborhood instead. The goal was not pocket money for video games or snacks. The goal was helping his family with bills and getting school supplies for the year ahead. At 12 years old he had assessed his family's situation, identified something he could do about it, and gone and done it every day for an entire summer. The comment section responded with the specific kind of admiration that arrives when a young person demonstrates something that adults recognize as rare in people twice or three times their age. They called him a king. They called him an amazing young man. Several people noted, without much subtlety, that there are grown men who will not do what this 12 year old did voluntarily. What Jayden is learning through this summer is not simply how to mow a lawn or how to knock on doors and make a pitch for his services. He is learning what his effort is worth, how to convert that effort into something concrete, and what it feels like to contribute to the people he loves in a way that matters. That education does not come from a classroom. He found it with a lawnmower.

🌿🐝 Nature teaches us quietly… if we just pay attention.
Not every buzzing insect is the same, and not every presence in life serves the same purpose.
Some, like the honeybee, work endlessly—creating sweetness, building, giving more than they take. 🍯
Some are soft, gentle souls—like the bumblebee—drawn to beauty, spreading life from flower to flower, asking for nothing but a place to belong. 🌸
And then there are those who protect the balance—like the wasp—misunderstood, a little distant, but playing a vital role in keeping things in harmony. ⚠️
🌼 In nature, everyone has a purpose.
🌼 In life, everyone has a place.
So before judging, take a closer look—
because even the smallest creatures carry the biggest lessons. 💛

What a beautiful piece of history. I used to have a motor with one of these we wind up starters.

A new service we can do is to remove small trees out of the ground.

These were no saplings. They were mature trees up to 10” or 12” inches at their base.

The pictures show the process of drilling, as well as the holes a couple of weeks later.

I am very pleased with the results. What do you think?

I must honor this man and share his story.

Watching this brought tears to my eyes.

Doing what I do for a living, I have so much respect for this man.

He does so much more for so much less than I do.

He knows this is his calling, and brings to mind this scripture: Col 3: 23Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, 24since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving.

May God bless him and his family. 🙏❤️🙏

In Del Rio, there’s a man nearly everyone knows, even if they don’t know his full story.Locals call him Chito. Day and night, in heat, cold, and rain, he can...
