🔥 CIRCULAR PATIO DESIGN

There’s something about a circular patio made from Unilock products that just makes a space feel made for gathering. 🙌

This lakeside patio uses curves throughout the design, from the rounded paver layout and contrasting border to the built-in seat wall and centered fire pit, creating a space that naturally brings everyone together.

The circular shape isn’t just about looks, either. It helps define the fire pit as its own destination while keeping seating, conversation, and movement flowing comfortably around the space.

Add in that lake view, and you’ve got a pretty great place to spend an evening. 🔥🌊

Progress Tuesday! 🏡🚧

It’s amazing what can be accomplished in just one day! 🧱💪

Another outdoor transformation is coming together beautifully!

Our crew has been hard at work on this lakeside patio project, and what a difference a day makes! The steps are complete, and the pavers are now being installed, bringing this outdoor living space one step closer to completion!

One of our favorite details is the combination of the pavers with the contrasting dark border. The curved edges add character and create a beautiful transition between the patio and the surrounding landscape!

While there’s still work to be done, we’re already loving how this space is taking shape! Once completed, this patio will be the perfect place to relax, entertain, and enjoy those beautiful lake views! 🌊☀️

Retaining walls can be designed at an angle to follow the natural grade of your yard, creating a more seamless transition between different elevations.

As you can see in this project, the retaining wall follows the slope of the landscape while providing structural support and adding a clean, finished look to the outdoor space.

What’s That Thursday? 💧🧱

Ever wonder why freshly installed pavers are being sprayed with water? There’s a reason behind it!

What you’re seeing here is the activation of polymeric sand, an important step in finishing a paver installation!

Polymeric sand is swept into the joints between pavers and then carefully activated with water. Once activated and properly cured, the sand hardens to help lock the pavers in place, reduce w**d growth, and prevent insects from disturbing the joints.

While it may look like we’re simply washing down the walkway, this step plays an important role in creating a durable, long-lasting outdoor space!

🎨 DESIGN DETAIL TUESDAY: IT’S ALL IN THE UNDERTONES

Choosing a paver or retaining wall color isn’t just about picking what looks good on its own, it should work with your home, too!

We look at the undertones already present in the brick, siding, stone, and other exterior finishes when selecting hardscape materials. Warm tans, creams, browns, cool grays, and charcoals can all change how a hardscape looks once it’s placed next to the home.

The goal doesn’t always have to be an exact match. Instead, we choose colors that complement the home and make the new hardscape feel like it has always belonged there. 🏡

It’s one of those small design details that can make a BIG difference in the finished space.

Absolutely! In fact, fall can be one of the best times of year to add trees, shrubs, and perennials to your landscape. 🌳🌿

Cooler temperatures mean less stress on newly planted material, while the soil is still warm enough to encourage root growth. With less energy being spent on new leaves and flowers, plants can focus on establishing a strong root system before winter.
