At Knotty Pine Design, we believe great spaces should have personality, character, and maybe a little cat hair. 🐈

Looking to refresh your home or rental for a space that feels more sparkly and you? We’d love to help bring your vision to life.

What’s on your vintage hit list? 👀 What’s that one piece you’re always hunting for but can never seem to find?

I’m always looking for unusual treasures that make a space feel like it was built over time, piece by piece. When I’m styling homes and short-term rentals, secondhand shopping is my go-to method for layering in character, texture, and those unexpected little details you just can’t find off the rack.

From quirky trinkets to vintage pottery and souvenir decor, you never know what you’ll stumble across. Sometimes the most offbeat finds make the biggest impact in a room.

In our opinion? A combination of quirky, earthy and classic hits best.

If you’re not leaving an estate sale wondering where you’re going to put your latest weird little treasures, are you even estate sale shopping?

Wicker baskets, vintage vases, trays… and approximately 47 things that deserve a spot in a gallery wall? Yes, please.

I love finding the pieces that make a room feel collected instead of decorated. The slightly strange, the beautifully worn, the things with a story you’d never find at a big-box store.

So, what catches your eye in my latest haul? Drop a comment ✨

Sometimes the difference between “random stuff on a table” and “intentional styling moment” is literally… a tray. ✨

Same vase. Same shells. Same little bits and pieces. Just gathered together, and suddenly it looks like a whole ✨thing✨.

Tiny styling trick, surprisingly big impact.

Want help turning your space from “stuff everywhere” into “wait, this is actually cute”? Let’s work together 💖 send us a DM.

Unlike designing a personal home, an STR starts as a blank canvas. Instead of designing around a lifetime of collected pieces, I get to start a new story—one that feels memorable, reflects its location, and gives guests an experience they’ll remember long after checkout.

Whether it’s layering in local character, building a subtle theme, or simply creating a home that photographs beautifully and feels inviting, every project is a chance to go in a completely new direction.

If you’ve got a vacation rental that could use a little more personality (and a lot more delight), let’s talk✨
