Our last order of Carnivorous plants for the year just arrived and they're mighty hungry! We have Venus Fly Traps, Sundews, and just a few Pinguiculas in stock!

Caring for carnivorous plants is pretty straight forward! They love bright light, ample water (distilled or rain), and nutrient-depleted soils. They do have a tendency to go dormant as the days get shorter, but you can force them to stay alive by providing bright light via a grow light! Everything needs rest though, so we don't recommend doing this every winter!

We couldn't celebrate a spooky season without the carnivores, of course!

Truck Day part 3 - this time you get to see all of the new plants too!

As you can tell from this mini-series, it takes a lot of work to get a truck load of plants! Our team will be busy for the rest of the week making sure that the newbies acclimate well and are strong and healthy, so the work is only really just now beginning!

Speaking of the team - many hands makes light work and I am so very grateful for all of the hands that helped with this truck (and every truck!!) Thank you to the whole crew!

Truck Day Part 2 LET'S GOOOOOOOOO!

The name of the game today was "hurry up and wait!" (Not my favorite game!)

Once the truck finally arrived, we got all of the sleeves and boxes moved into the shop for safe keeping! Curious minds wanted to see all of the goodies, so of course we opened the boxes to get a sneak peek at what we got!

Since the truck arrived so late tonight, we kept it simple and decided to return in the morning to get everything processed! Come back tomorrow for the final update in Part 3!

Nora wants you to know that y'all are sleeping on these Black Pagoda Lipstick Plants!

These beauties get their name from their unique lipstick-looking flowers that compliment the striking leaf pattern!

Despite their thick, waxy leaves, this plant prefers when the top 2" of soil dries out between waterings! To encourage blooms, she recommends giving your plant plenty of bright-indirect light and fertilizer throughout the growing season!

Pick one up today or Nora will either a. fight you or b. take them all home herself!
