Apples are getting close! Be on the lookout for these little black moths! They are skeletonizers, just hatching. Each female can lay up to 200 eggs. I'm blasting them with soapy water, hopefully before they lay eggs. If you know a better, easier cure, I'd sure like to hear it.

Red seedless grapes for fresh eating, jelly or making raisins coming off today. If you can use some give me a call or stop by before 5 pm. Also have a ton of giant sunflower heads, can be roasted, planted next year or critter food.

Plant sale will continue this week end! Saturday and Sunday from 8 am to 5pm. Peppers, tomatoes, basil, eggplant, tomatillos, berries, fruit, some herbs and much more.
Mothers who swing by on Mothers Day will get a free plant, as thanks for their contribution to the world in general!

What a goofy spring it has been! Soil temps are good, so planting can begin (I'm still ready to cover babies if we get frost) I'll be here most of Friday and all day on Saturday and Sunday.

Fighting the urge to get out there and plant the garden? Yup, me too. Fact uf the matter is that odds of another frost are really high. Something you can do now, to make plants take off faster is to prepare and wet the soil, then cover planting area with black plastic to warm the soil in advance, which will help them to take off to a good start.
Now is a good time to be putting out fruit like pomegranates, figs and grapes. I have a good supply, with varieties that will do well in different areas. Some modern varieties and many tried and true heirlooms.
