Big day on the homestead! And most of it you can't even see us do! 6 lbs of elderberries and sourdough gone crazy! First time for sourdough and it was crawling out of the jar! So what to do....make pancakes and OH MY GOSH....I don't like pancakes but these were incredible!

The homestead has had some visitors in the past few months! We haven't seen a turkey for about 9 years and a bear for a couple years here but our building noise has calmed down and isn't like it has been in the last 5 years. The land has begun to heal itself from our disturbance and we are grateful! We are even pleased the bears are returning....🌿💜

No other way than the pickle panel! Love love love growing cucumbers this way! You duck in and hear the hum of those beautiful honey bees. Ive been afraid of anything with a stinger all my years but this has taught me to appreciate how important pollinators are and how to walk in, be slow and gentle in voice and while picking. I have not been stung.🌿💜

So another super excited event for us in the house! Mister got the washer and dryer installed! Last night was just the washer so I was able to use my amazing wooden clothes dryer Lena and her sisters got me for my birthday a few years back on workday! Works wonderfully and I will be able to leave it out and use it more now than I was.
I've been rolling out my washer plugging it into an extension cord and connecting the drain hose to the stock tank we used in the shop (our home for almost 5 years) for our shower....so thankful we had it but pretty excited to be able to toss in laundry at a moments notice and it tend to itself! 🌿💜
