✨ **Every dream home starts with a vision.**

From the first sketch to the final walkthrough, every detail of this Elk Ridge home was designed with purpose, personality, and the people who will call it home.

There's something special about watching a house transform into a place where memories will be made—family dinners, holiday celebrations, quiet mornings with coffee, and countless moments in between.

This isn't just another house...

**It's the beginning of someone's next chapter.** 🏡❤️

At **Shadd Johnson Design**, we believe great design isn't just about how a home looks—it's about how it lives.

💬 **Tell us:** Which space is your favorite in this home?
🏠 The kitchen
🛋️ The living room
🛏️ The primary suite
🌄 Or something else?

We'd love to hear what stands out to you!

📲 If you're thinking about building a custom home, remodeling your current one, or adding more space, let's bring your vision to life.

**Make your dream home a reality.**

🇺🇸👣 **Happy 4th of Independence, you great hairy Americans!**

You wild bunch... keep the fireworks loud, the BBQ hot, and the s'mores perfectly toasted. 🍔🔥🍫

I've been leaving freedom footprints since before 1776, and I have to say... you humans throw one heck of a birthday party.

Stay safe, celebrate big, and remember... if you hear something rustling in the woods tonight, it's probably just me looking for another hot dog.

**Happy Fourth of July!** 🇺🇸💥👣

This is one of the best parts of what we do.

Before the foundation is poured...
Before the walls go up...
Before the first nail is driven...

You get to walk through your future home in 3D and make changes while they're still easy.

Every window, every room, every detail is designed with the way you live in mind.

Biggest mistakes in home design often come down to overlooking a family’s daily needs and future growth.

Too many people jump into plans without a clear vision of how the space will be lived in. They focus on trends or looks but miss practical flow, storage, and flexibility.

Here are some common pitfalls:

• Ignoring natural light and how it shifts through rooms. It is not just about brightness but mood and energy use.
• Designing spaces without thinking about how your family uses them now and in 5 or 10 years.
• Overcomplicating layouts that make simple tasks harder.
• Skipping clear communication with your designer, leading to surprises during construction.

One family we worked with first planned their dream kitchen with little storage and no easy access from the garage. After rethinking the layout together, they gained more counter space and a mudroom that keeps the house organized.

This shows how personalized consultation and local knowledge can prevent costly redesigns and create a home that truly fits your life.

Designing a home is more than picking finishes. It is about building a space where memories grow, and life flows with ease.

If you are starting your home design process, reach out for a conversation. Let’s craft a plan that fits your family’s needs today and tomorrow.
