A New Orleans Townhouse Makeover ✨

A little look back at one of my favorite renovation projects!

This townhouse in the heart of New Orleans received a complete makeover, from new flooring and tile to updated lighting, fixtures, and finishes that brought an entirely new look to the space.

I’ve always enjoyed the creative process of reimagining a home and finding that perfect balance between beauty and functionality.

There’s nothing quite like seeing a design come together and watching a space take on a whole new life!

Thoughtful details. Timeless design. A fresh new look.

5 Days Until Guests Arrive… and THIS Is the Guest Room! 😳

A client recently called me with a little dilemma. Company was coming in five days, and her guest bedroom had become the ultimate catch-all!

👚 A double clothing rack overflowing with clothes.

🛏️ A closet stuffed with bedding and towels.

👗 A dresser filled with clothes she forgot she even owned!

Sound familiar?

We got busy sorting, decluttering, and organizing to turn that overwhelming space back into a welcoming guest bedroom.

Because sometimes, all it takes is a little help to turn chaos into calm. ❤️

✨ From catch-all to company-ready!

Small steps still move you forward. ✨

You don’t have to organize your entire home in one day. Sometimes it’s simply putting away the glasses, clearing one drawer, or taking a few minutes to finish the next small task.

Celebrate those little victories. Because step by step, minute by minute, you’re creating a home that feels calmer, more functional, and more in your control. 🤍

The world tells us to collect more… But what if peace comes from less?

07/16/2026

We spend so much time trying to organize what we don’t actually need.

The easiest system to maintain is one that contains less.

Own less. Live lighter.

I’m walking through aisle after aisle of clearance items, and I honestly can’t stop asking one question.

Why?

Why are we mass producing millions of little trinkets that nobody is buying?

Why are resources being used to manufacture them, package them, ship them across the world, stock them on shelves, and then mark them down 66% just to try to get rid of them?

Some of these items may find a home. But so many won’t. They’ll end up in a donation bin, a trash can, or eventually a landfill.

This isn’t really about one store. It’s about a culture that keeps producing more and more things we don’t actually need.

As a professional organizer, I see the aftermath every day. Closets full of impulse buys. Storage bins full of forgotten décor. Homes weighed down by things that were purchased for a moment and then forgotten.

So I’ll ask it again:

Why are we making so much of this in the first place?

What if we bought less, kept what we truly love, and stopped treating our homes — and our planet — like storage for disposable stuff?

✨ Before ➡️ After ✨

Teaching kids to organize their own space is about so much more than a tidy closet.

It’s helping them learn where things belong, how to care for what they have, and when it’s time to let go of what no longer fits.

Simple systems make it easier for kids to find what they need, put things away, and build confidence in taking care of their own space.

The goal isn’t perfection. It’s creating habits that can last a lifetime.

Because organizing is a life skill—and it’s never too early to start. 💛
