Low maintenance is great but man there’s nothing like a fresh new cedar deck! One small challenge was an awkward gap in the railing under the bump-out window. To make sure we were up to code, we created this custom section of rail to fill the gap! 🙌🏼👌🏼

1,500 sq ft transformation complete. 🔥

We turned this aging multi-level deck into a fully modern outdoor space featuring:
• Expanded lower-level screened porch
• Maintenance-free decking on both levels
• Rain drainage system under the upper deck
• Fully refinished spiral staircase in black
• Custom-built composite stair treads for every spiral step
• Recked the cantilevered balcony at the very top

This one was a massive project from top to bottom — and the before/after says it all.

Rooftop deck rebuild in St. Paul, MN 🔨

This one was more than just a facelift — full demo, new waterproof membrane, and a careful rebuild from the ground up. Rooftop decks come with their own challenges… every step matters when you’re protecting what’s underneath.

From pedestal supports to flashing tape, every detail is about keeping this structure dry and built to last. And yes — every single board had to be carried up by hand 😅

This project was all about working with a unique layout—redecking the existing space and adding a brand new porch that ties it all together.

We even reworked the roofline around a bump-out to make everything flow seamlessly.
