How many bees do you see?! 🐝👀

Late flowering native plants help so many pollinators during the fall. Asters and goldenrods and very popular right now with all the bees, butterflies, and more! This is showy goldenrod aka solidago speciosa. It is an excellent seed source for wildlife and nectar source for insects. It grows up to 4' tall and 3' wide, blooms late summer to frost, and is clump forming, meaning it tends to spread less than other goldenrod varieties.

A huge THANK YOU! to anyone who voted to help our local Elsberry FFA chapter win Chapter of the Year! They came out in 1st Place and we couldn't be more proud! 🏆

🎉 WE DID IT, ELSBERRY! 🎉

We just received official confirmation from Cowpokes that—thanks to YOU and your incredible support—the Elsberry School District FFA Club has been named the Cowpokes FFA Chapter of the Year! 🏆🌾

These past few weeks have been quite a ride, and we truly could not have made it through week after week without this community standing behind us.

Our members will be officially recognized by Cowpokes this Wednesday at the National FFA Convention! What an unbelievable way to walk into the National Convention! We are beyond proud of our program, our students, and the overwhelming support we’ve received over the years.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you again for everything you do for our students and chapter each and every day! 💙💛

🍁 Fall Color Is Appearing Along the Great River Road! 🍁

One of Missouri’s most beautiful drives is right in our backyard!

Missouri Highway 79, part of the Great River Road, winds along the mighty Mississippi River, passing historic river towns, towering limestone bluffs, and breathtaking river views.

And now, as the first hints of fall color begin to appear, it’s the perfect time to slow down, take the scenic route, and enjoy the beauty of the season. 🍂

From the changing leaves to the rich colors of autumn, Missouri has so much natural beauty to share. Here’s to crisp mornings, colorful drives, and finding a little inspiration in the great outdoors!

Take a drive down Hwy 79, the Great River Road, and visit our Garden Store Monday-Saturday 8am-5pm. Fall is for planting and we have a full lot of plants ready for their forever homes. 🌳

Bulbs are now available at the Garden Store. We have tulips, daffodils, hyacinth, crocus, oriental lily, iris, and GARLIC! Get those bulbs in the ground for spring color, now is the time to plant.

Some ways of handling your leaves help. Others hurt. Where do you fall on this list?

Leaving your leaves where they fall does the most good. It's the richest habitat for overwintering insects, toads, and salamanders, while feeding your soil.

Bagging, burning, or trashing does the opposite. It removes both the habitat and the nutrients your yard needs.

Everything in between still counts. Even one step up this list helps.
