Today we remember the 2,977 lives lost on September 11, 2001, the first responders who ran toward danger, and the countless lives forever changed.
We remember what happened, who was responsible, and the courage and unity Americans showed in the days that followed.
25 years later, we honor the fallen and refuse to forget.
Never Forget. 🇺🇸

We’re excited to see Specialty Soils mentioned in a recent Seattle Times feature on renowned landscape designer Richard Hartlage and his incredible Seattle garden.

Richard has used materials from Specialty Soils for years, so it was especially rewarding to see the article point readers our way for the custom soil mix he orders from us.

We’re proud to see materials made here in Enumclaw continue to play a part in exceptional gardens and professional landscapes across the region.

Thank you to Richard Hartlage and The Seattle Times for the mention.

After the heavy rains this weekend, the ground decided to reveal some hidden treasures. As the water washed away years of dirt and debris, pieces of the past started popping up around the property—old metal, buried hardware, and a few things we still can’t quite figure out. We know this land has a rich history before Specialty Soils arrived, and every now and then, we get a reminder that we’re working on top of someone else’s story. Now, we’re super curious… what else is buried out here? Anyone recognize any of these pieces or know some of the history of this property?🤔

This year, we have received exceptional photographs from numerous customers. Notably, both of the following images were submitted by first-time specialty soil customers.
One of the recurring themes among new customers each year is the challenges and setbacks they encounter while gardening. This serves as a constant reminder of the purpose of our business. Despite experiencing difficulties last year, both of these gardeners have since developed remarkable green thumbs and achieved significant success. 💚

It was a bit of a scary start to the week. A dump truck was dumping sand, but it was too heavy and went flying up.
Thankfully, no one was hurt, and we managed to handle the situation.🤍

One of the many things we do around here is collect yard waste, leaves, branches, and green waste and transform it into nutrient-rich compost or biochar. This process not only improves soil quality but also reduces waste and contributes to a greener future.

Does anyone know what biochar is or would like to learn more?🤔
