One of our core values at Sealtite is “We Make Work Fun!” And last Friday, we did just that!

Our crew took a break from the job sites for a Sealtite Fun Day! We started with some team training and good food, then headed to Badlandz Paintball Field in Crete, IL for some friendly competition! 🔫

We believe a strong team is built on more than just working together. Taking time to have fun, build relationships, and enjoy each other’s company is a big part of what makes our team special.

We’re more than just coworkers — we’re a Sealtite family, and we’re thankful for the great group of guys we have!

Another project in the books! 👏

Our Sealtite crew recently completed the insulation for Zehr Acres’ new employee office building and calf hospital! 🐄

We applied 2 inches of closed cell spray foam on the exterior walls to create a continuous air and moisture barrier for improved temperature control, energy efficiency, and long-lasting performance.

From residential homes to agricultural and commercial buildings, our crews have the experience to tackle projects of all sizes!

A little settling can cause a BIG problem! 🏠

This homeowner’s porch had settled enough that the siding was pulling away from the house, leaving a gap of about ½ inch!

Jesse walks us through how our crew used polyurethane foam injection to lift the front of the concrete slab approximately 1.5 inches, bringing the porch back into position while also filling the voids underneath for added support.

No tearing out the porch or replacing the concrete needed!

🏡 A 100-year-old home with improved comfort AND lower energy bills!

Dan Mullen lives in a home built in 1923, and when it came time to improve its comfort and energy efficiency, he turned to Sealtite!

Our crew insulated an addition to his home along with two existing crawl spaces, helping reduce air leaks and heat loss.

The results? Dan says he’s noticed a decrease in both his gas and electric bills, and he credits the added insulation for those savings! 🙌

🏠❄️ IS YOUR HOME READY FOR WINTER?

As temperatures start to drop, is your home ready to keep the cold out and the warm air in?

Here’s your winter home insulation checklist:

☐ Check Your Attic Insulation – Is it old, damaged, settled, or insufficient?

☐ Watch for Drafts – Cold air sneaking in around windows, doors, or other gaps?

☐ Pay Attention to Uneven Temperatures – Are some rooms noticeably colder than others?

☐ Check for Cold Floors – An uninsulated or poorly sealed crawl space or basement could be contributing.

☐ Look for Air Leaks – Gaps around rim joists, plumbing, wiring, and other penetrations can allow conditioned air to escape.

☐ Monitor Your Heating Bills – Higher-than-expected energy costs could be a sign your insulation isn’t performing as it should.

☐ Don’t Forget the Garage – Poorly insulated garage walls or ceilings can affect the comfort of adjacent living spaces.

From uneven to level in no time! 💪

This front sidewalk was in need of a little TLC! Our crew used polyurethane foam injection to lift and level the settled concrete, then sealed the cracks and seams to help prevent water from getting underneath and causing future settlement.

You’d never know this was a hog barn! 👀

Our crew recently transformed this building in Sterling, IL with closed cell spray foam insulation from top to bottom.

Jimmy, Rick & Triston installed 2” of closed cell foam on the walls, 3” on the roof deck, and 1.5” on the hydraulic door. The foam was then finished with a white coating, giving the entire space a bright, clean, finished look.

And this one had plenty of details to work around, from the roof trusses and doors to the lower hog pens. Great insulation is important, but so is the quality of the installation. Clean lines, consistent coverage, and attention to detail make all the difference.

Quite the transformation for an old hog barn!

Meet Triston, one of our Closed Cell Foam Crew Leaders!

Triston has been part of the Sealtite team for 5 years, and you’ll usually find him spraying smooth foam, making sure the prep work is done right, and helping our customers get a quality finished product.

One of Triston’s favorite parts of the job is helping customers, and he enjoys working with all the guys at Sealtite. He’s motivated to do his best by his family and satisfied customers.

Outside of work, Triston enjoys golfing and is a big sports fan — he loves the Cubs and Eagles and watches just about every game. And a pretty cool fun fact: he has his dad’s 1978 Impala!

We’re thankful to have Triston’s experience and attention to detail on the Sealtite team. Thanks for all you do, Triston! 👏
